Read till chapter 17. Well I knew from the starting chapters that it was AI written/assisted but I dogged the premise of the novel so I stuck around. I think the pacing is good but everything is brought down by the dialogue quality which has only gotten worse. At first the dialogues sounded like something said by machines reading a script with precise answers to every question in the conversation. This was very jarring and felt inhuman. Then now in the later chapters somehow every dialogue reads out like a military speech??? Who talks like that? I think the clanker is broken. Such a shame though…I hope someone takes this idea and actually write something worth reading with normal dialogues.

Maybe but remember American culture via media has a huge influence here. The normal American accent won’t feel so strange to hear. If it was the southern accent which is hard to understand…then yeah it becomes a possibility.
