my problem is not that I think characters should not have a mysterious background but look at all these stories nowadays and you would notice most of them have a mysterious background for practically any important character and even though everyone has this incredible background no one cares when it comes to the mc, in the past it mattered but today? the mc could be the child of the supreme Lord and would still have all these clans after them.
