I’d say for good authors it’s usually to use them as narrative whetstones to develop their main characters either learning lessons with them as mentors or as enemies to learn from in their battles.

Great story with a few minor errors. House Royace is house Royce. They are ‘descendants’ of the first men and a couple more. Great content with just a bit of fleshing out with grammar needed
