You could imply Snape mentors future Harry whilst simultaneously having him hate Snape due to his spy status, imply he was a spy due to his anger at dark lord going after children and that by doing so lost his loyalty, also have Snape kill his father due to a magical vow of revenge due to his mother's death and it's also the only kill he did while in the death eaters service because Snape was a potion master who only brews the motivation to join is his protection against black potter ect but regrets it later due to him finding out lily's son was basically the son of prothcy or whatever

Harry will need to learn the mind arts quickly
