The author spends a good deal of time engaging in world building only to revert the lazy conspiracies about Jews manipulating politics and the financial markets. Also, I'm not sure if it is MTL, but there are consistent issues with gender and other common translational challenges. If not for the antisemitism I'd continue to power through because the world building is well done.

The translation of this book also seems to be MTL. The story is readable but some parts are painful.
