I want to think that her parents have something to do with the breakup… that they maybe paid him off to break up with her so that she would leave and realize her full potential, etc etc. But that doesn’t explain the dick move of immediately getting together with her best friend. Hopefully Charlotte truly is unaware, because that would be a gross violation of Rule 1 of the Girl Code if she does actually know (don’t date any of your best friend’s exes or crushes). But if/when she does learn the truth, let’s hope that she’ll make the right decision.
This happened to me the last time I had blood drawn. The kid had no idea what he was doing, and I had been fasting, so I nearly passed out 😭
Et tu, Brute?
🤨 …idk, Dave, you’ve crashed quite a few dinners already.
^^ I imagine that this also has to do with the fact that this situation is more than likely going to lead to Laurent ending up with Dave again, and, tbh, I don’t blame you, lol. I made a comment, waaaay back within the first 10 or 12 chapters of the novel, about Dave being a redeemable character. The author can still shape the plot and the characters in so many different ways. For instance, what if the plot becomes much more complex and isn’t just about a self-absorbed, manipulative douchebag trying to win back his ex-wife? Maybe that Frenchman isn’t a good person at all. Maybe some characters will make some surprising decisions at critical, life or death moments. I’ve been sticking with this novel because it’s such an unfathomable situation in the real world, I kinda want to see how it plays out. Maybe you can take a short break for a little while, and just follow along with the chapter titles to get a sense of where the story is headed, then decide if you wanna pick it back up.
Ah geeze please don’t pick that idiot Morrison 😖
Webnovel should allow authors to make chapters with “disturbing content” unlockable only after readers view and accept a waiver stating that they understand that this is a work of fiction, and depicted scenarios may be potentially triggering, but that is no fault of the author’s. Seriously, this chapter is essential to plot reveal, but if past chapters involving teenaged Ariana made you feel like throwing up, and then mailing that throw-up to the author out of spite, then, for the sake of keeping things harmonious and nausea-free, maybe sit this one out 🫣
The college grads would then argue that if the people who are able to retire would actually do so, then maybe they would be able to stay. Thats how it is here in the States, at least. It’s all the older generations’ faults!
I would have so much fun with my interpretation of that directive 😂😈
Nikolai, go back about 80 or so chapters, and you’ll know that isn’t true 😒
