Aeris was a Princess of Mistfall Kingdom. On the day of her Wedding, she found her childhood Sweetheart cheating on her with her sister. She calls off her wedding but her father's deteriorating health makes her take the hands of an unknown King whom she despises for an intentional affair in the kingdom. Marrying a stranger only at one condition, She will be taking care of all the affairs of her kingdom.
King Caspian, disguised as a human, had been traveling the world to find the origin of his kind. After his parents' suspicious death, and being an only child, he was the last of his kind and needed a mate to create another to rule over his kingdom. However, he had always considered a mate as a weakness. When he stumbled upon a random human kingdom, his aura awakened and the curiosity to search it dropped him on the gates of the castle where a bold princess called off her wedding because of a cheating spouse. Taking advantage of the situation and finding the truth behind the magical curtains, He asked for the hand of the Princess for a marriage. The dying king approved the marriage and gave Caspian the throne of the kingdom.
Both Aeris and Caspian hated each other for various reasons. She didn't want the king to interfere in her kingdom and always doubted his stay and marriage with her, while Caspian, being a couldn't handle being ordered by a human. Together, they discover a secret that changed their life from upside down and a mutual enemy hiding under the shadows watching over them to attack the king when he would be vulnerable.
Their ugly marriage becomes worse when they find out that they were fated mates…
