There are multiple different polyamory relationship styles e.g the V type where the other people in the relationship only romantically together with one (Mc) but they don't interact in that way with the others in the relationship except maybe being just friends.

If the author can't convince you nor will reading a definition will, I wish you luck in finding something more to your very specific taste .

All the people here who think polyamory is NTR needs to go educate themselves properly because one of them is obviously cheating and betrayal in many forms while the other is an agreed upon relationship that includes multiple people.Closed poly relationship = they don't get with anyone but the people in that relationship, no one else.
