no problem, though I must admit, this Argument only really holds, because the Author both mentions victory through science in his title and tries to explain his abilities using scientific methods. If he had just said "and then the stick was magicked into steel" reasoning with rl logic would have been futile. And as such, even if he says that he 'creates' something, it actually being transmutation instead wouldn't be out of question.
Turning wood into steel means changing the Number of Electrons, Neutrons and Protons of All the different Elements found in wood until they turn into the components necessary for steel, because while some (like Carbon) are indeed already present, others are not. Additionally, he explicitly says "create new Atoms". Also, even if reused everything he could, he would still not have everything he needs to create steel. Even if we assume he has found a way to achieve a 100% wood-steel conversion rate he would still need to create new Atoms, because Steel is much denser than wood, and as such, converting a certain volume of wood (even if there is no mass lost during the process) would result in a smaller volume of steel. So he can't just take a sword sized stick and turn it into a steel sword without creating extra mass (or taking it from his surroundings, though again the creation of new mass was explicitly mentioned).
couldn't he just ask them and then reload ? in either case he would still look like he was able to intuitively know the perfect present. Or if the person doesn't want to say it, he could just brute force it by buying different presents and then reloading if she doesn't like it, until he finds the right one.
in an incident yeah, but in a fight reloading won't help you if your opponent is faster than you. Also it's still unclear if he will auto reload upon death, so if something kills him before he has time to manually reload he's out of luck. So even if it isn't directly helpful in a fight, it could grant the few moments he may need to load himself out of a potentially lethal situation.
wasn't just his new mother not blood related?
yeah, but the previous seiji seemed to be the type of guy who would rather just limit his family Interactions to mooching off of them, so it would make sense for him to be oblivious about his families social and/or political status.
or maybe his childhood friend?
suspension bridge effect at its finest👌
he wrote them in his mother tongue, wich doesn't exist in skyrim. So not only would the person finding it have to translate a whole new language from nothing, but they must also believe that the 'scribbles' of a 6 years old are actually more than random nonsense. And even if they think that the foreign words have meaning, they have no reason to believe that it's contents would be anything worth the effort of trying to translating it.
