omg!!! this 3rd family kindness will lead them to their death!! daughter was stolen & now put in jail, but no will to fight back!! how dumb, are u waiting till they killed u all first???

the story was great at the beginning to the middle, as usual the ending was a bit rushed. would be better to have some side stories or epilogue. FL is strong character but not too over powerful. ML , wished there was more romance between them...overall a good read without any major angst or anxiety.

I have read many Chinese & American novels with very stupid mentality BUT MEI-MEI takes the cake as the biggest stupidity especially considering her family background & growth. Pride is sure the downfall of a person! can u eat pride? seriously it doesn't make any sense for Mei- Mei to fallen this low to be a damn rug!!! when her maternal family is still alive and at the top!! only if she was taken over by an alien or ghost . why doesn't the family intervene? I also blame the parents for her spoiled stupidity . very disappointed with the parents considering their previous story.

this is the 3rd book I have read for this author and overall I give it a 4 star. it has great story plot & characters. I love that it's mostly fast paced & doesn't drag out some issues. however, I feel that the ML wasn't too story line was weak. they had shared a past life with so much tragedy yet it wasn't address very well, what happened to the angst & resolution? Phoebe was all adamant about not wanting David back m she put up a little resistance at first but didn't last long. the romance & chemistry wasn't there. maybe too much fast-paced that just skip or quickly give an ending without much details.

she just drinks without knowing what it is? omg!! I know she the typical dumb & brainless FL, but that really takes the cake!! WTF!!!

the plot was overwhelming with too many people, very slow burn romance, too many side stories of different people . although it was all brought to a good enough ending but unsatisfied. she didn't become a wife until the last 10 chapters with little stories about them. the title is too misleading
