So disappointed. It's not about the story, the plot, and the characters. I'm talking about the translation here. After 40 chapters, it went so fucking bad. Although it's still understandable, but you guys... dyk, I decided to read the mtl version by the 42nd chapter and I must say... even the MTL's quality is much better than the one given in this webnovel! I really don't want to sound so insulting to the translators, but I'm sorry cause they seem to have pretty much 'neglected' this, only focusing on the regular updates, but not the quality. Like, I'll ignore some grammatical errors and wrong usage of words, but they can't even muster the effort to fix the names? The necessary capital letters?? The quotation marks and the like??? Most, if not all, MTLs don't even have that kind of basic mistake. Like, srsly, I've been also seeing this downgrade of translations after a dozen of chapters or so in some of the webnovels here and it is really annoying. Webnovel wasn't like this before, but why is it like this now??? I mean, I knew I shouldn't have expected much based on the changes I've seen from this app with so many novels being chosen to be translated when before, it would only be at most 3 novels (if I remember correctly).
BG stands for boy x girl
How long has it been? Characters like him ALWAYS keeps forgetting about the events when MC CLEARLY showed that she was NOT WEAK. Ugh. Its literally one of those repetitive plots again. Both overused and cliche. Like... stop.
Same, I was like, 'Right. A WELL BEHAVED COUSIN SISTER. A plot like this and JUST a FEMALE relative specifically mentioned, not counting the brothers cause of obvious reasons. But for anyone who has read enough chinese BG novels from this app would surely think the same as me, right? Even if there were cases of female relatives actually and truly being a nice person, that is not a common occurrence for me. Like, bruh. FEMALE and a COUSIN RELATIVE. Who knows, maybe before MC was found and brought back, the parents directed the affection they couldn't give to their lost child to this female cousin, because for one, same gender, two same family obvi, and three, possibly, the same age. Now that MC is back, female cousin would get jealous from the attention she gets from both parents and brothers. If it actually goes through that, I'm seriously going to be..
I don't know about you guys, but I feel.....π
If Cai Lu is really the ML, I'd feel uncomfortable with him cause before MC came, he had an ambiguous relationship with Yawen. HA. HA. HA. Like, what's this? Even if the MC hasn't come to this world yet, how could you have an ambiguous relationship with someone else when you literally made an oath to be with MC for many lifetimes before? This matter is different compared to when he had an 'engagement' in the first world and had a 'fiancee'
Honestly, they relied too much on this summoner, like so far, from what I've read, the Yun Family is only famous and prestigious because of that summoner. They didn't have any other significant achievements other than giving birth to a summoner for the continent they lived in. It was evident that the Yun Family will sooner or later decline with how they are acting.
Regret? What's there to regret in having the MC to stick with you throughout this journey?
Inferior? Really? This bitch was literally running away with the others from the zombies chasing them just a moment ago in which our MC was able to kill them at ease. Just cause MC doesn't seem to know anything rn doesn't mean she's already inferior to you. Like geez, that knowledge you're talking about to her rn isn't even that unique or smth. MC could just ask about the situation to someone else if she had bumped into a different group of people who are good-natured.
Hope it won't be anything like those cliches of the OG being one of the students at the last ranking of her grade with others mocking her because of it and sometimes bringing up her background along with it. Following this, it won't be long before our MC then begins to show excellent grades, which others begin to accuse her of cheating and etc. Then, faceslap.
IKR!? Like, honestly, I really hate this type of characters. Although it is understandable due to how the MC acted towards the ML in the past, I still dislike this kind of characters who judge their boss' preferences towards the MC, who was literally someone he knew since childhood. Why don't they just give these subordinate characters smth with a more indifferent setting, who only focuses on their job and the like?
The romance here is almost non-existing and the intimate relationship between the two main leads as a couple/married couple will only be existent on the last side story for this novel. So, this mainly focuses on the relationship between MC and her family, along with some action after an eventual reveal of some fantasy-like elements that their seemingly normal world has that had been hidden for so long. Here, MC is the strongest, but she's not like those other MCs with OP settings. She is also a foodie, who eats as much as possible due to the circumstances she experienced in her past life. This novel does not have those typical/cliche/repetitive scenes that's like, 'MC has some capabilities, no one believes and mocking occurs, prolongs this situation for a while, then faceslap' and repeat in a way that trouble comes back again when it hasn't even been that long since the previous face-slapping ended. And other similar annoying cliches like that. The translation is also pretty great without it suddenly becoming as bad as an mtl midway throughout the story, like some certain other novels. Thus, I recommend this for people who wants to take a rest from reading romance novels and cliche/repetitive plots, for those who loves a strong/foodie protagonist, some good action, and a plot that focuses more on the relationship between MC and her family.
All other characteristics of this novel are good, but it didn't explain how the MC was able to repeat the same day for 500 years. It seems to have implied that one of the male leads, the one introduced at the beginning, may have helped MC break down this cycle. But it is also possible that there may be other conditions for this, but it was never further explained. Besides that, what the fuck is up with the ending? Can it even be called an ending at all? Like, it definitely still need a continuation for that. I even tried searching this up on mtl, but nothing(?) came up. So disappointing. Really. It's cause this is one of the novels from this app that I was able to read until the end without dropping it, like with the other ones due to the cliche/typical/repetitive plots. Other than that, I have no other problems with the novel.
I love how the length of the typical underestimating/mocking scenes in this novel are shortened and not prolonged until it was time for a face slap. Like, the prolonged ones are really annoying to read, especially since it can be quite repetitive. It makes me want to drop those type of novels, you know. But this one seems different, so I'm looking forward to how this novel will end up. I hope it becomes better as I continue to read this.
I'm tired reading this type of novel, like why? Family/relative-related enemy, dumbass extra/side characters who immediately sides with the other despite not knowing the whole story, always looking down on MC despite showing that she's not a useless person... A lot of novels that I've read has those type of elements and I'm really getting tired of it, especially the last two. Why are they so dumb, so easily manipulated into thinking that way, despite all the events involving MC? Why do they still look down on her, despite her showing at least some of her great talents as though her achievements isn't that amazing? I wanted this shitty girl (hateful cousin)LCW to be over with as soon as possible, but it seems as though it would take a little more time. I even feel like that, after LCW is over with, the next one might even be a love rival trying to get in the way between MC and ML. One of the most annoying and cliche part of some, if not most, novels. I stopped reading cause I couldn't bother to continue reading this type of plot anymore.
Well said! Well said, MC!!! πππ
