When I first saw the film, I was a kid who hadn't read the books, so for me Voldy turning to ash was one of coolest things ever. Later on, when I got older and read the books, I understood the importance of him dying like a common man. So I get why the filmmakers went that route because it was very cinematic. Like I said earlier, some things which seem nice on paper, are not so on film.

It's just that, he is a little immature, and that's what I wanted to show here. He never got complete memories of his last life, so emotionally, he's still a child, but his intellect is mature, so he thinks he's mature. This is probably the last time he'd do this.
Not always the case in TV movie/miniseries category. In a pre-streaming era, why would studios lobby for an award as inconsequential as a Golden Globe when their movie/series has already been broadcast and been a major hit? Movies are different because their wins build momentum for the Oscars.
