Finally, a story that understands that you repay kindness with kindness. So many MC's that act all edgy and self-important that can't take anything even slightly less than beneficial towards them.

Really good story with a nice side of comedy and well written fights, which is a surprise coming from a DBZ ff which their canon is pretty simple. The author expands on the characters by adding some character traits to some who were sorely lacking in personality and depth. I really have nothing to complain about when it comes to this novel as it is exactly what it advertises: an alternate Dragon Ball. At the time of writing this review, the author is at the end of the Namek arc and the OC's involvement, as well as the nuanced character changes, are clearly felt and I for one enjoy them. Definitely give this novel a try, you won't regret it!

I could see agree with you only somewhat. The only characters in the Straw Hat crew that would question him would be Zoro or Robin considering their untrusting nature and seriousness when it comes to the crew. Everyone else either completely trusts him (which is par the course with the Straw Hats, case in point joining hands with Law in canon) or knows that he is from a weird background when he mentioned it upon going up Reverse Mountain and don't care. I don't see why they would even question him when he's been obviously helpful, and the Straw Hats genuinely don't care about background. Nami has been piecing it together slowly though so if you stick around, you might get your 'questioning Roman scene'. This scene specifically builds up what you're talking about so hopefully you stick around.
