Ahhhh! A cursed cliffhanger. I imagine once Hauke is subdued the fighting will soon be over. The negotiations after should be interesting.

Hauke’s not wrong. His people are far from the height of their power.

In this whole mess Helia is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters. Not that she wasn’t before but it’s fun to look back towards the beginning of the novel and see how much she has changed.
