Starts out great and is funny. It gets boring and repetitive really quick. I managed to stick around until chapter 340 but I think I'm giving up on it. No meaningful development happens to characters or to the story.

you need to work on your reading comprehension, he's not saying that he has to be stronger than his girlfriend, just being equal to her would make him happier since he'd be worthy of her at that point and the sage clans would accept it
It was one for thing for him to lose out to his clone, girlfriend, and students... but now, even a vine that he had picked up on a whim turned out to be so formidable too! If not for his resilient mental fortitude, he would have killed himself out of embarrassment by now!
