I don't remember that but not saying it ain't a thing. Ik after the baron tries turning him into a "zombie" he gets some enhanced strength, hearing etc.. Also I get why alot of history was skipped but it sucks also there is so few Grimm fics but one starting in the past has alot of potential to expand on the world of Grimm anyway the author would want. Within reason of course.

Agreed Blood magic fits that neither good or bad, but really any magic could be dark it depends on the user. I like referring to some magic as forbidden since it can't be used for good, example the Killing curse.

Another I have read is that there is a ward put up that interferes with electronics to distance muggle borns and make them more magic reliant. Or something along those lines it's been awhile since i have read that one.

Honestly no different than some stuff my skyrim character would wear, so I'd wear it also.
