As a person who tried his hand at writing a novel and stopped after like 7 chapters, I can tell that the start is very important for the route the character will take. thou its sad that I won't be able to look forward to any new chaps for some time it's better for the story as a whole. If you have a solid start and no plans to drop the fan fic option B would be most Beneficial
