Profile: A fictional character from a popular game, Zaboru is one of the children of the prestigious Renkonan family. However, he was exiled at a young age due to his poor traits and skills, which seemed completely disconnected from the Renkonan family's primary abilities. Exiled at the age of nine, Zaboru's downfall began with the Valor Ceremony—a tradition that scans and evaluates a child's potential and talents. This ceremony usually takes place when the child is seven years old.

For ordinary or average families, the results of the ceremony are not particularly significant, as skills can often be learned through experience or specific conditions. However, for a family like the Renkonans, the ceremony is everything. Before undergoing the ceremony, Zaboru's life was typical for a child of a great family—receiving excellent treatment, ample resources, and training from martial arts and magic experts.

But everything changed after the ceremony. Zaboru's lack of talent for magic, his minuscule mana reserve, and his traits that decreased weapon effectiveness made him a disappointment to his parents. They decided to give up on him. Following the ceremony, his family's treatment of him turned cruel. His siblings bullied him for fun, he was often denied food, and his parents excluded him from family dinners and events.

Even the servants were instructed to neglect him. As a result, Zaboru often starved and had to fend for himself. Although heartbroken by his family's rejection, he adapted quickly and refused to give up. At just seven years old, he began scavenging for food and spending hours in the abandoned family library to educate himself. Sometimes, he even found small jobs to survive. Despite his maturity, he would cry himself to sleep, wondering why his family treated him so harshly.

After enduring this for two years, Zaboru was exiled at the age of nine during a "Cleanse Bloodline" ceremony. This painful ritual removes the magical marks unique to a bloodline, severing all connections to the family. These marks serve as identifiers, linking an individual to their magical lineage. The ceremony was not only excruciating but also disrupted the natural flow of mana within his body.

Once the ritual was complete, Zaboru was sold as a labor slave to a mining operation. For three years, he endured hellish conditions, forced to work even when sick and given barely enough food to survive. Yet, despite these hardships, Zaboru persevered. At the age of 12, he was rescued by a slaver-hunting army from Norngin country. Taken to Norngin, he was recruited as a soldier, and thus, his rise began.

Zachary Bonisegna

Profile: A lover of fantasy stories and games, Zachary Bonisegna is also a martial arts addict. When he plays games, reads novels or manga, or watches movies, his favorite type of character is the bare-handed martial artist. He loves how these fighters take on monsters or weapon/magic users with nothing but their own fists.

Zachary is also a genius with a sharp intellect, quickly understanding complex concepts. From a young age, he practiced various martial arts and eventually became exceptionally skilled. He even developed theses on martial arts techniques, many of which proved effective. By the age of 25, he had reached the pinnacle of the martial arts world, winning numerous national and international championships.

Zachary participated in the UFC World Championship, but tragedy struck while jogging one day. A drunk driver hit him, leaving him disabled and unable to practice martial arts. His once vibrant life became dull, and he even contemplated suicide. However, he chose to fight back, pursuing studies in medicine and health while continuing to indulge in games, movies, and manga.

At 28, a VRMMORPG called Rising Live captured his interest. This game offered an experience akin to real life, set in a fantasy world with endless possibilities. In Rising Live, players could customize their characters' origins, with the AI generating a backstory based on their choices.

Zachary created a character named Zaboru Renkonan, starting his journey after Zaboru joined the army. Though the game's storylines were diverse and sometimes full of plot holes, the focus was on freedom of gameplay. Zachary played Rising Live until he was 38 years old. His Zaboru Renkonan became widely known for his unique path as a bare-handed martial artist, mastering a fighting style called "Ultimate Martial Arts: Throwing Hands."

When the game servers eventually shut down, Zachary was devastated. While waiting for the servers to go offline, he was struck by lightning and killed. Miraculously, he reincarnated into the body of the real Zaboru Renkonan, with his soul merging with Zaboru's. Now, he carries the memories and skills of both his real life and his game character, complete with a system to help him relearn his martial arts from scratch.
