Chapter 1

In a large city, a young boy with dark blue hair wearing a school uniform lays on his back in an abandoned alley. His eyes closed, clothes dirtied but otherwise unharmed. As the sun rises, slowly he opens his eyes.

???: Urgh ( placing a hand on his head) where am I?

Looking around he stands up, but nearly collapses but manages to support himself against a wall

???: It feels like I've slept for a long time but still where is this place. ( as he walks around, he realises something) who am I?

As he realises this, he stops walking. Clutching his head, he immediately feels a rush of pain hit his body.

???: Urgh...aahh!

stumbling down, he breathes in heavily. When suddenly, something glimmers on the floor in front of him. Inching closer, he kneels down to notice that it was a ring, blue light glimmering between the ring itself, ending at a small light blue jewel in the middle. However what really caught ??? eye's was the amount of blood surrounding it.

???: What the heck ( hands extended he touches the ring, only for a bright blue light to appear) WHAT'S GOING ON...AAAHHHH!

(Flashback/vision)

A beautiful garden filled with lilies, butterflies of different colors fly passed creating a sort of paradise. ??? finds himself sitting on the grass, in front of him was a young man with light blue hair smiling down on him, his face overshadowed by the bright shining sun behind him. As the man draws closer, he kneels down and hugs ???, bring him to his chest.

"Nai...."

???:Huh?!...Nai so that's my name?

Looking at the ring in his hands.

Nai: Maybe I'll take this for safe keeping.

standing back up, Nai places the ring on his finger. Walking out of the alley, he notes that he is a city of sorts. As he walks down the street, he finds himself at a station. Cautiously,he goes up to a middle aged man wearing a suit.

Nai: Excuse me but where is this place.

Man: St. John station now stop bothering me!

Walking away, Nai couldn't help but feel slightly worried. nervously, he boards the train only to find himself sitting for hours. Until finally, he is forced to leave. Night soon comes and and Nai lays against a brick wall, his knees against his chest as he buries himself in it.

Looking down at the ring, its blue crystal being the only source of light. Dozing off, he is awoken when a shiver runs down his spine

Nai:' what the heck is that. Whatever it is, its approaching me.'

sweat dripping down from his forehead, it didn't take a second for Nai to run.

Monster: RRAARRGGHH!

Nai: 'Gotta run..before it catches me'

from the corner of his eye, Nai could see a black menacing figure from behind. Panicked he runs faster.

????: MOVE ASIDE

Immediately, Nai moved aside, a figure dashing across him.

????: Sword Art. beneath the moonlight!

As the figure said those words, his hands moved towards the sheath by his side, hands by the hilt, removing it and in a split second slashing it against the monster. To Nai, it had seemed like a crescent moon against the night sky.

Monster: AARRAAGGHH!

????: Die...

The monster, then evaporated into a hundred black butterflies. Sheathing the sword, the figure then came to view, revealing a young man with pale skin and bright blue eyes , his long black hair tied back in a ponytail. His clothes a long, black jacket with gold trimmings, opened with an upturned collar and rolled-up sleeves, wearing a long-sleeved white shirt underneath, straightened with an unorganized blue necktie Below, were a pair of black pants and white shoes, his sword beside his waist.

????: Hey you okay?

Nai: Yes. Thank you very much but what was that?

????: That was a Naenia. A Monster if you will but I'm not one to elaborate.

Nai: oh....

As Nai said this, he couldn't help but notice something on the man's finger. A ring, looking at it closely, it looked almost exactly like his own except it was black with no gem but detailed carvings in white.

Nai: THAT RING! WHERE DID YOU GET IT?!

????: This Ring? Sorry but its only for members of Origin.

Nai: Origin. Then let me join.

????: WHAT! DO YOU-

Nai: I need to know about this ring!

raising his hand, he shows ???? the ring.

????: Thats! How'd you get it?!

Nai: I'm not sure but if there is one thing I know is that this ring and I are connected.

????: Tch. Fine but whether you are selected or not isn't up to me.

walking pass him, ???? turns.

????: well are going or not? By the way my name is Fuyu. Nice to meet you....

Nai: Its Nai.

Fuyu: well nice to meet you Nai.
