85 Dakota and the Cure, Part 1

"We've got incoming!" Mark yelled. "Get Dakota into the cabin!"

But it was too late.

I looked up and a werewolf was coming right for us. I rammed it with my shoulder, knocking it into a tree and then bit it and ran toward the cave hole. Luckily, it followed. "Protect Dakota!" I yelled in the Pack Mind to whoever could hear as I sprinted toward the hole as quickly as I could. This werewolf was fast… but I was faster. Lexie and Dylan saw me coming and manned their tranquilizer guns. When I was close enough, I pushed off and leapt over the cave hole and the werewolf fell in, but I didn't stop. 

I ran into the forest, circling back to Dakota, pouring on the speed. In the clearing, Dakota was conscious, but he was weak.

Michelle had shifted back into her wolf form. "Jess, take him to the cabin! I'll work with Micah and Mark to hold them off!"
