Cast a Shadow
My weary eyes were fogged
And it's only darkness that I see.
My body, my heart feels trapped.
An indication of nowhere to be free.
Hushed whispers is all that I hear.
Everything that I am is all that they fear.
Monsters, thats how we are called.
Like a candle's flame, we are feared and adored.
We define darkness and cast shadows.
We defy happiness and cost sorrows.
And as my body trembles and the rose withered.
Soaked with tears and blood, I whispered.
"Stars that shine so bright, I hide your fires;
Hear my pleads, hear my cries
Let not light see my black and deep desires.
I am no angel but I am more than meets the eyes."
Hello! Glad to have you here! As you can see, I am no expert in writing so mistakes is unavoidable as English isn't my first language as well and this is my first time so I'm basically starting without any experience as back-up yet I hope you'll enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
