I don't remember how many times I paced around the room that day, waiting for Alessander to come back with the news of who won the duel.

He insisted that I stay and that we keep mine and Jasmine's relationship a secret. To that extent, I was kept under house arrest, with some men stationed at the door to make sure I didn't escape.

I spent the whole day worrying, up until the bedroom door finally opened, but it wasn't Alessander who came in.

"You don't look half as pleased to see me as I imagined." Vasily remarked, stepping into the room.

"What do you want? Alessander will be back any moment now, if he sees you here-" I tried to get him to leave, but he sat on our bed, getting too comfortable.
