More reveal

Margaret gawked at the figure before her. She could tell by the lady's countenance what her next move might be.She could see how she wasn't even in a hurry to leave, because she loved being in people's businesses so much. She was keen to get as much information as she could.

Margaret moved towards her. She cupped her hands and trapped some air into it, then placing it on her shoulder, she began to heal her wounds.

The lady's eyes widened in astonishment, she couldn't believe her eyes. Of all her years as a slave in the pack she had never seen such. To the best of her knowledge, only werewolves possessed such powers. She wondered how she hadn't discovered that such existed.

After Margaret healed the lady's wounds, she lifted her hands off the lady's body. She picked the tourniquet that was now laying on the floor and cleaned the blood that had spilled. Some footsteps became closer and they knew it would be the guards.

Perplexed, Margaret said.

"If you keep your mouth shut, I promise I'll put you in our plans."

The lady chuckled at the mention of "our plans."

This was a golden opportunity to dig further into issues that don't concern her, so she smiled inwardly.

"I promise."

The smirk on her face was disturbing for Adira and Magarate, but there was nothing they could do. This lady now has the power to manipulate them.

"I'll let you know where to meet us."

Margaret said and signaled Adira to get going.

Adira took the lead, her legs moved wobbly, she hated the situation she had gotten herself and Margaret into. She cursed the No 13 Lady in her mind as she made her way out of the slave house. Having breakfast was no longer on her mind. She was late for that already and has lost her appetite as well.

"You can tell me now, I'm pretty curious."

No 13 sounded. Displaying an evil smile. That which she uses to manipulate her victims.

"Can you please keep it down?"

Adira snapped. She hated that she gave the lady access to their lives, and now she was making demands.

"Hey...Allow her."

Margaret cautioned, trying not to upset the lady.

She knew how loud her mouth could be.

"Well, I want to make sure I'm still part of the plans, that's all."

The lady said, casually.

Adira muttered bitter words under her breath. She was getting frustrated and the fact that this lady is suspecting she was pregnant sent shivers across her. She resolved she would speak to Margaret about eliminating her.

"At least that's the wisest thing to do."

She thought. When they got to the exit door, the three went to their individual duty posts.

"You, stand there!"

A slim tall woman approached Adira.

"You'll fill in for a staff for the week. She's ill."

The woman continued.

Adira stood confused on what was happening as the woman handed her a box. When she opened it, she found a beautiful silk dress in it. It was a dress for the maids who serve the royal palace. She was just a slave and her work was more of plates washing and floor scrubbing. She didn't have the privilege to put on beautiful dresses. Since Kara prohibited her from wearing such, when she was posted to the royal family.

The real maids of the royal family were beautiful werewolves and she was the only human among them. She wondered if the sense was made for the Alpha to post her there, after Kara framed her up for poisoning his food.

"Do you need help with something?"

The lady sounded again, bringing her back to reality.

"No Ma, I'm fine."

She responded.

"Alright, since you're wearing this, we treat whoever wears this for breakfast, every day. Have this."

The lady handed her a box that contained rice and shrimps.

"Go to that corner and have your meal. Then resume work immediately."

She commanded.

"Alright Ma, thank you Ma."

She bowed her head quickly.

She opened the box and it was rice garnished with shrimps and chicken.

Adira couldn't believe what she saw. She couldn't believe this was what She had been missing out on, after Kara denied her the right to wear the silk dress.

Immediately, she dropped the clothes box aside and began to devour the meal. That was the best thing she has tasted for the past three months she has been held captive. She ate as fast as she could, scared that Kara might walk up to her since luck hardly smiled on her in the pack.

When she was done, she dressed up and began to work. She retired early that day, this was because Kara wasn't around the whole day. On getting to the slave house, No 13 was already in her cubicle waiting for her.

"Not now!"

Adira snapped at the sight of her uninvited guest.

"Well, I've decided what I want to do and what I don't want to do, all thanks to your carelessness. She sounded.

"I've come to hear what you guys have for me. Where's your friend? I don't know her cubicle."

She continued.

Adira hissed, as she crawled into her cage. All she needed was rest, and what the number 13 was saying was noise to her. Also, it flashed her mind again that Margaret didn't wear a badge. It was also the same the first day she saw her, and everyday in the slave house. She wondered what might be the reason.

"Can you please leave? Like she said, she would call you."

Adira snapped. She was losing her patience. She hated that she was even exchanging words with someone with such a disgusting attitude.

"I won't , not until your friend shows up or you tell me where she is."

"Then prepare to wait forever."

Adira began to prepare her mattress and in a matter of seconds, she had put some pieces of old clothes together and was laying on it.
