Ethan's POV
Las Vegas 'THE ENTERTAINMENT CAPITAL OF THE WORLD' is famous for its luxurious and extremely large casino-hotels together with their associated activities. Las Vegas is a popular setting for literature, films, television programs, and music videos with a population of 2,227,053.
And yet no one is capable of being my 'BETA' and 'MY MATE' nowhere to be found. A total of 25 packs residing in Las Vegas. I have visited every single pack myself in search of my mate and still no one deserves the title of 'THE LUNA' of my pack. As for my beta I want someone who deserves the title. An alpha is as incomplete without his beta as he is without his mate. I'm weak without them maybe that's the only reason why my pack is till second most feared. I want to be 'THE MOST DANGEROUS PACKS OF WOLVES EVER KNOWN' and for that I really need to look harder and find my beta and mate as soon as possible. No matter how hard I try or my pack try we can never defeat 'THE DEFIENTS' without them.
"Ethan come to my office right now" my father mind linked me snapping me out of my thoughts. Making my ways towards his office my mind's still wandering around my beta.
"Yes father" I said entering his office and closing the door behind me.
"Meet your beta Mark" my father said making me look at the familier figure standing next to him head hung low to show respect to my father the former Alpha of the pack and me the present Alpha of this pack.
"His family has owned this title from a long time now. They have served to be the betas of this pack for eternity without deceiving us" he said proudly.
No doubt. We have the best members in this pack. The strongest, wisest, bravest of all. All of them would give their everything to protect their pack. Be killed or can kill. Be it pups, she wolves mated or unmated. Mark is one of them. His family has always served us as betas. They have never disappointed the alpha's orders and has served us will full dedication towards this pack because this pack is their home. My father has saved a lot of omegas, rouges, humans from being killed by someone stronger than them and in return they all have made our pack second most deadliest. He has given his everything to train the pack members. Yes, we do have humans in our pack who wanted to change willingly and serve my father with full dignity. Our pack is not the only one who has humans the difference is that other packs have them who didn't wanted to be introduced in this world. We don't go around killing innocent people, wolves. That's not what we're known for. Yes we are powerful. Yes we are feared by many but that's just because we are the second most powerful pack of America. And yes we do kill and torture brutally but to only those who are threats and danger for our pack.
"Father I respect your decision but I'll find my beta for this pack myself" I said not accepting his offer.
"Mark" he said looking at him indicating him to leave us alone. When he left closing the door behind him my father continued.
"Son, Mark is the best of all. You know that yourself"
"Father I agree with you but-"
"You're going against my order??" my father asked now loosing his patience. At first I thought that only my father has anger issues but that's the only thing that all the alphas have in common of every single pack. We tend to loose our patience really easily. We are habitual of people obeying us in just one order. Questions really angry us and for a long time. Whoever doesn't, faces the consequences.
"No father I just want to find him myself"
"Last time I checked I'm still your father. I still get to decide for you"
"I'm the Alpha of this pack. You don't get to decide for me anymore" I half yelled.
"You asked for this" he said "Till the time you don't find a beta and a mate for yourself you are no longer an alpha" he used his alpha voice
"WHAT!!" I yelled.
"I made you alpha of this pack and now I'm taking you off from this title".
"You can't do this"
"Well I just did and if you want your title back find them from yourself as fast as you can" he said leaving the room.
I just stood there not wanting to believe whatever happened just now. He just took the title which took my 28 years to earn. I was angry. I wanted some alone time for myself so I ran into the forest shifting and running with my full speed.
Ethan's dad POV
"Don't you think you went a little overboard with him this time" my mate asked worried about her son.
"Honey he needs to be serious with the responsibility he's dealing with" I said making myself comfortable in my mate's arms. I just needed this after a heated session with my son.
"I understand. But you do know that our son has earned the title of the alpha. He has proved you that he deserved this"
"If he's deserving he will get the title back. But first he has to find himself a mate and most importantly a beta"
"It's not like I want to be an alpha all over again" I said yawning tired of the thought of being an alpha and his duties. I'm past that age now.
"I'm just worried about him" she said running her hands over my hair.
"And what about me" I said looking towards her eyes.
"Yeah you too" she said smiling.
"Just trust our son" I said calming on my mate's touch and sleeping.
"I do but-"
"Are you trying to question your Alpha"
"Alpha?? What did I tell you about this whole 'Alpha thingy' when you're in our room"
"I'm not Alpha here. You are"
"Hmm" she smiled.
The most purest and prettiest thing that I never thought would be this important in my life. I would do anything to bring this smile on her face. The most beautiful eyes I've ever seen. No matter what her age is she still looks like a 19 year old to me. The first time when I met her. The first time when I felt something inside of me like I was born all over again. Like I'm more than alpha. I don't have to pretend to be someone else when I'm with her. I love her. And still do.
