(V) Vilian Evolution 1

"What the heck happened here?" screamed a man who stood at 7 feet. He wore a black trench coat that reached down to his legs with two black riffles holstered in an x shape behind him.

His name was Karen Kayne, the x-squad leader of the supercop!

Presently, he was standing at the spot where Ruby had just massacred Buke and Nuke. The place was now taped around with yellow tape and a sign that stated "keep off."

And the house had lost its roof, the glass walls were shattered into several bits, and the ground was filled with eyeballs, human limbs, and multiple blood-soaked organs.

Soon, Karen pulled out white gloves from his pocket, put them on, and started grabbing the limbs, eyeballs, and flesh into a white airtight bag; Beside him were some other men and women who were dressed in long black trench coats smilliar to his.

Striding forward, Kayne stopped at the wine table and picked up the half-emptied bottle on it, bringing it close to his eyes and inspected it; his eyeballs widened a bit when he saw the tiny bubbles bubbling inside the bottle.

"Robert, check this out," Kayne called out; a man with white glasses etched on his nose, light, subtle beads, and with a crooked nose strode to Kayne's side and snatched the wine bottle.

squinting , he gazed inside the bottle, and he gulped at the sight of the bubbles inside the bottle.

"This...".

"Nightmare, right." Kayne cut in. "This was his house, and you know that guy had mental issues, so it wouldn't look strange for him to have this kind of wine at home."

"I'm aware of that, but the only way to use this liquid explosion is through detonation."

"What are you trying to say?" Kayne didn't know where this conversation was going because he was informed by the meta-organization that Nightmare's files have been closed since he was no more.

"Nightmare was the one who invented this type of bomb in the first place, so it all points to one thing."

"don't give me that crap, Rob, you know the meta's aren't no j-" He trailed off when he noticed a sharp black card with a skull pinned to the ground.

"Fuck! I think it's him! " Kayne screamed.

Hearing his course, all the squad members turned to face their leader because the latter had always been calm, confident, and composed, so it felt weird for them to see him react like that.

"Everyone, go back to your things." Kayne waved his squad members off.

Although they had few confrontations with Nightmare and forced him to retreat several times, they did not do so at the expense of losing some of their squad members, even if they were weak!

"Rob, what do we do?" Kayne asked in a low voice.

"I don't know, aren't you the leader?" Rob said, his voice cracking a little.

He wasn't a fighter. He was just a lab man and an analyst, but he knew that Nightmare didn't care about that; He'd kill anyone that works for any super organization.

"Kayne, let's report back. The'd know what to do," Robert suggested.

"I'll do just that."

Back at the cave, Ruby gazed at the system message in front of him.

Since Ruby had gained 1000 experience points from killing the two unlucky supes, he didn't hesitate as his hands quickly went to reward number 2.

After some time, a different screen popped out in his view which showed the outline of the entire cave, with heavy pieces of equipment on the side. He swiped to the equipment store and hit on a gray metal panel.

Following his hit, the cave floor shook and trembled a little as a metal floor rose from the ground and covered the entire cave surface.

Ruby grinned a little as he hit lights, and multiple lights pop out In the cave. These lights were censored to off and on through a command from the system.

Scrolling to where the round tunnel where, lights popped out there as well, making the place look like a supercar driveway.

Ruby placed a massive flat screen super computer at the left flank of the cave; he placed leather seats and a table with a glass keyboard on top of it.

After that, he made a large room with a king-size bed and a luxurious bathroom, a kitchen, and a spacious training room filled with giant training gym equipment and an octagon ring in the middle.

Ruby didn't change the rocky walls and ceilings of the cave because they looked cool with the metal floor. s

Some time latter, he placed an invisible dome around the cave that would alert him in case anyone tried to bypass it, but he didn't forget the guns. He placed high-level guns everywhere, including the outside, but they were hidden beneath the snow.

"I'd like to see those Supes mess with me now," Ruby smirked, but he had one more thing to do.

"Yes!"

Ruby's vision blurred as he felt dizzy, and he collapsed to the metal floor.

And a bit of time later, Ruby woke up with a throbbing headache that felt like it was being hammered.

"Hahahahah!" Ruby laughed madly at the sight of his rewards.

Grabbing his chest, he tried to catch his breath and said:

"Now let's see what martial skills I have learned." Ruby adopted a fighting stance and started throwing punches and kicks with swift moment that it appears almost like a blurs!

After practicing for some time, Ruby nodded because he felt now he could be compared to Ip man from the movies.

"Javi, explain daze."

[when daze is activated, the host could stun his opponent for 5 seconds]

"Just as I expected."

The [DAZE] skill was an ability that belonged to the superhero—Michael Daze, and Ruby knew all this because he had fought against Daze before, and the latter used this same ability on him.

Thinking about these thoughts, made zing of excitement in him to face Daze again, but only it won't be the same outcome.

"What about the minions?"
