9 - Breakthrough and Little girl!

Itachi was now out for a walk as he looked at the night sky. He didn't return to his courtyard as he was too angry to do so. He wanted to be alone to calm down.

After finally calming down Itachi found a spot to sit down and relax. He thought that it might as well be now or never. He quickly turned his left palm as a flash of green light appeared before instantly dissapearing to reveal a set of silver needles.

Itachi then stripped himself of his top clothing only leaving his pants before he grabbed many needles between his fingers. He then closed his eyes and took a deep breath before he reopened them to reveal his sharingan.

Quickly he started to pierce them all over his body. After his hands ran out of needles he would get some more and start to plunge them into his body once again before all the needles were completely all over his body.

"Argh" Itachi grunted. If anyone were to look at this scene they would be horrified as he practically looked like a human porcupine. The part that would make most people turn away was that he actually had a dozen or so needles around his eyes and head.

' Good! Now I just need to concentrate and try to gather my chakra through my broken veins' Itachi thought as he grit his teeth.

What he had done so, in that small time frame was quickly use acupuncture to connect his optic nerves to his chakra coils similarly to the Uchiha clan's physique in his last life.

(a/n: don't question how he did all that with just needles cuz i also don't know but what i do know is that in chinese novels acupuncture can cure pretty much anything at this point.)

But he didn't stop there, when he thought about this idea he remembered that his eyes were also linked to his profound veins. Meaning if he were to do so then he would link both his chakra coils and profound veins at one point via optic nerves. He then got the idea of linking his profound veins and chakra coils not in just his eyes but his whole body.

He had done exactly that. With Yun Che's medical knowledge along with the sharingan, he had succeeded. Now all that was left was to test his theory and hypothesis.

Since he had now linked the two, in theory should he now circulate his chakra, his profound veins have no choice but to absorb it. This is what he meant by forcefully use his veins to breakthrough. Unlike profound energy his chakra pool was permanently inside his body and continue to grow, not only that it won't leave or dissipate and continue to circulate through his coils and then to his veins.

(a/n: like how in other novels where they get their dantian crippled all their energy or qi dissapear)

Chakra and profound energy was practically the same as they were both energy. The only difference is profound energy is external and while chakra is also external it could also be found internally within the body. His profound veins couldn't absorb externally but what if it was already internally flowing within the veins itself? It would directly enter the veins and thus instantly being absorbed, of course this is quite risky as if Itachi does not stop circulating his chakra his profound veins would absorb all of it effectively leading to his death.

After all once you run out of chakra, you would pretty much die. But even if it was a gamble the benefits were quite immense. His chakra would be used to forcefully break himself through in cultivation and once that happens, Itachi speculates that not only would his profound strength grow he would also get more profound energy as he was basically converting his chakra into his own permanent pool of profound energy within his body like what normal cultivators have. Of course he speculate that his own chakra reserves would also grow along his cultivation.

After all chakra is the spiritual and physical energy of a person, meaning the stronger the body the more one's chakra grow. In this case his spiritual energy is the profound energy in his body. So he is practically recycling his own energy as he uses his chakra to strengthen his cultivation in turn adding more to his chakra reserves.

Itachi quickly circulated his chakra and as they passed through his coils they started to pass through his broken profound veins. And just as planned, Itachi felt some pain as his body grew heated.

Within his body his broken profound veins seemed to awaken as they hungrily feasted on his chakra absorbing it like a starved person would once in contact with fresh food . What soon followed was what Itachi was waiting for.

He felt something as he circulated his chakra and he felt that his veins were getting hot as his chakra converted into profound energy and began condensing within his broken profound veins.

*Boom!*

2nd stage of Elementary Profound realm!

Itachi had actually broken through using his broken profound veins. The more amazing fact was that he actaully felt his chakra reserves go up with his breakthrough. Not only that he felt that it only used a fraction of his chakra to breakthrough as he still felt his cultivation rising.

*Boom!* *Boom!* *Boom!*

3rd stage of Elementary Profound realm!

4th stage of Elementary Profound realm!

5th stage of Elementary Profound realm!

6th stage of Elementary Profound realm!

7th stage of Elementary Profound realm!

With each break through, Itachi got a boost in his chakra reserves giving him more chakra to use to fuel his cultivation basically making it a cycle of continuous breakthroughs. But of course with each break through it took more chakra to use.

8th stage of Elementary Profound realm!

9th stage of Elementary Profound realm!

10th stage of Elementary Profound realm!

He actually broke through all the way to the 10th of Elementary profound realm, not only that but it still slowly but surely rose.

1st of Nascent Profound realm!

Just as Itachi broke through he quickly stopped circulating his chakra cutting out the fuel to his cultivation. He had done so because he was already low on chakra and knew that he needed even more to breakthrough to the 2nd stage of Nascent profound realm.

But he didn't need to worry since he only needed to wait until his chakra reserves replenish before cultivating again.

After about two hours Itachi's chakra was finally replenished. After all his breakthroughs he only managed to get his original average cannon fodder chunin level chakra pool to a high-chunin almost to the level of a low-jonin.

After that he quickly began to circulate his chakra again and like once before he once again began to breakthrough.

After twenty minutes he broke through to the 6th of Nascent profound before he was once again low on chakra. Itachi though it was at a good level to stop so he quickly stopped circulating his chakra and disconnected his chakra coils from his profound veins. He did that because he wanted to only use his chakra for his sharingan and he didn't want his veins to absorb them every time. He would only reconnect them when he feels he needed to cultivate.

Since he made such a huge leap Itachi needed to solidify his realm and master it to a degree, he was already easily the stronges youth in Floating Cloud City so he didn't need to worry. Since he also had his sharingan and can now use it for longer he didn't need to fear anyone as his sharingan's illusions can even trick someone more powerful than him.

The only thing was that he could only use his normal sharingan. He tried but it seemed that his mangekyou was once again locked and he needed to reawaken them. But even so Itachi didn't care because he felt that his normal sharingan was good enough for him right now.

In this Sky Profound Continent or at the very least this world he was in, there was nine large realms further divided into ten smaller realms of cultivation.

Elementary profound realm, Nascent profound realm, True profound realm, Spirit profound realm, Earth profound realm, Sky profound realm, Emperor Profound realm, Tyrant Profound realm, and finally Sovereign profound realm.

At some point, some realms will have a significant dividing factor and cultivators will be able to gain something in that level. For example at sky profound realm a cultivator can use the profound floating technique to fly in the skies unhindered. At Emperor profound, also known as thrones , certain cultivators can utilize a domain. Though Tyrant profound doesn't have anything special and are only significantly stronger than thrones, but are referred to as Overlords. But at Sovereign Profound, one can use make their own Pocket Dimension for storage and are referred to as Monarchs

After he was done practicing and understanding his new found strength Itachi decided it was time to return. It was already nearing daybreak it would only be a couple hours before the sun was up. It had just passed 1 where as the banquet ended at 11. But walking back he felt his hand throb and he quickly saw the Sky Poison Pearl in his palm glow, indicating a rare herb nearby.

Following the signs at where it pointed to he was quite surprised at his findings. Two blades of grass or precisely Star Concealing Grass. A rare medical herb allowing one to turn invisible if consumed or made into a pill.

' This will indeed be very useful to me ' Itachi thought as he grabbed both and stored it into the Sky Poison Pearl. Such a herb would be good for escaping threats, infiltration, or assassinations. After he was finished he once again made his way back.

But as he did so he suddenly sensed something coming towards him at high speeds. He poured some chakra to his eyes activating his sharingan as he backed away. He looked at the blur and was surprised.

'A little girl?' He thought. The girl was young about 12-13, although cute what caught his interest wasn't that nor her blood red hair, but her aura. With his sharingan he could see different energies or anomalies within a persons bodies. When looking at the girl, her profound energy was being sapped rather quickly by a violent green one that spread to most her body. He had seen such an example before in the Elemental Nations but instead of profound energy it was chakra.

' Some kind of poison? ' Itachi thought. He thought about leaving her there, but was quickly discarded as he wouldn't live with himself if the girl died because he didn't help. He walked towards her, though his sharingan still active as he was somewhat wary. He saw that the weeds and grass under the body were becoming burnt.

As he walked closer, he suddenly felt his body heat up. ' This... what strong poison' Itachi thought as he walked closer while willing the Sky Poison Pearl to appear. Soon after a green glow, the pearl appeared at his palm. Once after appearing his body temperature began to return to normal as the Sky Poison Pearl began to refine the poising that was being released into the air by the girl's body.

Although most of the Sky Poison Pearl's abilities had vanished, it's ability to detoxify had remained. From the rate that the poison spread to the grass, if left unattended then it would spread to the whole mountain. It just so happened that the mountain was the Xiao Clan's and was behind the whole estate. If it were to spread then everyone in the Xiao Clan would suffer. Although he could care less about them, his grandfather and aunt would also be affected.

Without hesitation he quickly put his palm on the girl's stomach before the Sky Poison Pearl began to refine and detoxify the poison in her body. After a while he felt some fluctuation from the girl and saw that she was slowly opening her eyes. She had a pair of exceptionally very black demonic-looking eyes that flashed mysteriously as she blinked

" Sky... Poison... Peal " The girl muttered. Then at speeds faster than that of even Spirit Profound she bit his finger. Although Itachi tried to dodge and move she was after all considerably faster than him. He had already tried to retreat when the girl accurately pinpointed the name of the Sky Poison Pearl but alas he even with the body flicker he still only had the speed of a True Profound cultivator real practitioner. With her speed surpassing that of Spirit Profound realm he couldn't even put her in a genjutsu as unlike Xia Qingyue who at the time was still this girl moved the second she opened her eyes.

Blood flowed out of his fingers as they all flowed to the girls blood. Itachi tried to move his hand but the girls seemingly delicate small hands seemed to be like an iron girp. Even with strengthening his hands with profound energy and chakra it seemed futile to take back his hand from the girls clutches.

Soon after the girl was done greedily sucking on his blood did she let go. As soon as she did so Itachi used the body flicker to distance himself from her. He had only just gotten a strength increase that he wasn't even solidified, losing that much blood had gotten him slightly dizzy but he forced himself to stay concentrated. With his sharingan active he went to lock onto the girl only to find that she was gone.

He looked to her last known location to see only her clothing. He then felt a throb and saw the Sky Poison Pearl glowing. ' Don't tell me ' Itachi thought as he willed himself in the Sky Poison Pearl's storage space. He didn't need to worry as everything inside could instantly be ejected with his though, if the girl attacked him he could either escape or eject her out.

When he entered, he saw the same girl. But unlike last time where she was greedily sucking his blood she was now unconscious like when he first encountered her, although naked. He waited and when he saw that she really wasn't waking up he covered her up with his clothes before exiting.

Something told him that she might be key in restoring his profound veins. Although he could indeed cultivate, it put a huge strain on his veins. As cultivating is condensing the profound energy in ones veins to strengthen them. Itachi's veins were already damaged, although he indeed began to cultivate he reckoned that at most he could only get to true profound before his veins can't take enough of the condensed energy. Still he needed to be very cautious on how to act towards the mysterious girl.

yo so when he gets the evil god's profound veins his cultivation won't completely vanish but only rebound back to elementary profound realm.

Why I made him leap to nascent profound if he was just going to lose part of his cultivation is because I wanted to show how effective refining his chakra to profound energy is but it would significantly slow down sooner or later. It was only fast since elementary profound realm was the lowest realm.
