I passed out because of the pain after receiving the mark. According to hunter rules; I cannot get another mark before completing another mission. It sucks, but my strength has increased a lot. It's three times what I previously had.

As the plan, I got into Duskwood Academy. The school specializes in Science and Arts and is currently overseen by Principal Raymond Wells. In 1910, Jeremiah Blackwell founded the academy, striving for excellence among the student body. Jeremiah's statue resides at the front of the building, bearing the motto "The future needs excellence."

Duskwood is partially owned by, and financially funded by the Prescott family. In 1998, they donated the dormitory building to the Academy.

The big thing is that Prescotts are vampires, yes, vampires. The Prescott Family has been residing in Duskwood for centuries. Being the oldest family in Duskwood, they are very rich and influential, owning most of the town. The Prescotts fund Duskwood heavily, going so far as to donate a new dormitory for the school's use. They presumably live at the Prescott Estate. They have enquired enough power to hide their identities.

Vampires aren't undead as people thought them to be. A vampire's physical appearance and muscle mass are enhanced and perfected, eye colour changes, and they no longer need to breathe, though they often still do so out of habit, and feel uncomfortable without their sense of smell—the first warning of an impending threat or the smell of potential prey. The ability to cut off airflow from their lungs allows them to remain submerged underwater for as long as they wish, and contributes greatly to their excellent swimming capabilities.

Their body's natural changes no longer occur after a certain age. They cannot age or grow, things such as fingernails, toenails, and hair will no longer be able to grow. However, if an arm, leg, nose, or another such appendage should be removed, albeit painfully, it can be easily reattached. Vampire venom is noted to be the only thing that scars a vampire. Since the venom is adhesive, coating the severed end with it will help it heal faster. They show no physical or mental illnesses and defects, and their voice becomes more alluring, melodic, and seductive. Their heart no longer beats.

Strange liquids replace all of the natural chemical processes and functions in the body. It wets and pools in the mouth instead of saliva. It coats the eyes, burning through contacts after only a few hours, protecting them from damage and thus eliminating all necessity and reason to produce tears. It also lubricates them, allowing them to move around more easily within their sockets.

A similar liquid lubricates between the vampire's cells allowing their hard stone bodies to move. If a vampire were to remain motionless over thousands of years, dust will actually begin to petrify in response to this liquid, turning their skin powdery and similar to shale in texture, as well as their eyes which develop a milky film over their red irises making the eyes appear pink in colour. These imperfections, however, do not affect the vampires impenetrability or compromise their vision, a vampire that stays motionless would be just as hard and sharp as a vampire remaining active.

Their flesh is like rocks, they have enhanced strength, speed and prana. Being supernatural beings, they have more prana than normal mages. This allows them to cast higher level spells.

The bad thing is that Nathan Prescott is my classmate. From what I know he is adept in magic and; by his looks he knows about my identity. Dad must have told the Prescott family about it. The Prescott family tried to kill Jack for his blood, then again Jack also goes to this school.

According to dad; they won't harm Jack. The family head isn't stupid enough to offend DE for a quick raise. The same thing cannot be said about Nathan. During the fight between the demon girl and vampires; 5 of his family members died including his brother. The demon girl is still alive, she has some kind of special identity. The news is that she is under the custody of the faction she belongs to.

*Sigh*

Nathan sent me a text. I don't how he got my number. He wants to meet me and Jack at the cafeteria. He wants to talk things out. Vampires, demons, Ice cream man. I am trying to keep my cool, but this is giving me a headache.
