Traveler and Paimon in a Multiverse

1. First Jump

"So…. What are you trying to say is that you fell here… from another world?"

"But when you wanted to leave and go on to the next world"

"your path was blocked by some unknown god?" The flying small girl said. Whenever she flew a constellation-like trace was left behind her. The girl has a petite body, giving her the look of a fairy. She has thick white hair cropped just above her shoulders, dark purple eyes, and light skin.

The girl's name is Paimon. She wears a dark blue hairpin and a rose-gold crown that levitates above her head as though it was a halo.

"How many years was it? I don't know"

"but I intend to find out. When I woke up, I was all alone, until I met you two months ago…" A boy replied as she finished drawing his story on the sand. The Boy has fiery-gold eyes and a slim build with pale skin. His blonde hair is cut at a somewhat medium length with uneven bangs at the front with waist-length braided hair at the back.

The boy's name is Aether. He wears a dark brown breastplate vest with gold and black accents bearing his midriff and adorned with a diamond ornament, a white scarf clamped with a gold clip, and a white two-tailed cape lined with golden embroidery. He wears dark hakama-like pants, dark brown gloves, and black boots accented with gold.

"Yeah, Paimon really owes you for fishing Paimon up from the water, Otherwise Paimon likely would have drowned," Paimon said as she scratched her cheeks in embarrassment. "So, Paimon will do her best to be a great guide!" then Paimon made a small spin in the air "we should head off, Let's get going!"

"It's been a few years since that day huh…" Aether said while mesmerizing the beautiful night sky. And as always there's always a flying petite girl beside him. Both Aether and Paimon were on the highest edge of the Starsnatch cliff.

"Un, Paimon felt nostalgic about it too. but Traveler, are you sure you wanna do that?" Paimon lowered her head from the night star and turned to Aether.

"Come on, do you still call me that? why don't you just call me Aether? You were no longer guiding me because I had saved you from drowning. No?" Aether turned to Paimon too.

"…." Paimon was silent for a bit which was something very unusual for her "Aether... That's right, Paimon went with Aether of Paimon's own free will and also wasn't because of any reason but Paimon wanted to be with you" Paimon made a little spin. "Then Aether, Paimon had told you before 'there are many worlds out there as many stars in the night sky'" Paimon looked at the night sky again. The glittering of the star was very beautiful.

"Yeah" Aether replied "Since that day when we met my sister Lumine with Dainsleif. Our link that had been broken for who knows how many years by that unknown god reconnected once again. I didn't know the exact location. But at least I can feel her since that time. And that feeling told me that My Sister… Lumine… was no longer in this world"

"That's why I'll go after her even if it's mean I had to travel to the other world like I used to do in the past"

"Are you really sure?" Paimon looked at Aether with worried eyes. "What about the connection you've made in Teyvat?"

"I've already told them my intention and I also already said goodbye to them too." Aether let out a melancholy smile for a moment before he turned at Paimon and smiled warmly "Besides I'm not leaving everyone, and don't I have you the best guide in the universe?"

"W, well, Of course, Paimon will make sure Aether can get back to this world again!" Paimon replied with a puff of her chest.

"Well then without further ado, let's go?"

"Let's go," Paimon replied. Hand in hand Aether and Paimon jump down from the Starsnatch cliff. Aether and Paimon immediately felt detached from the space in their surroundings, and everything shifted around making no sense of which one is above and which one is below. Then not long after everything becomes black.

The feeling of being detached from the world immediately disappeared as Aether heard the sound of running water, light also slowly coming back to his eyes. once he was able to see his surroundings clearly Aether immediately scanned his surroundings.

(Is this Monstadt? Did we fail?) Aether questioned himself. Everything he saw was similar to Monstadt city, from the road, buildings, and culture (it's similar)

"Aether, are you okay?" Aether quickly turned toward that voice, there he saw Paimon floating beside him but something seemed a bit wrong about her. "Why are you looking transparent?" Aether asked.

"Eh?" Paimon was shocked and looked at herself "Ack!!?" She screamed in fear "Is Paimon going to die!?"

Paimon tried to reach her, and he was able to touch her like normal. "Calm down," Aether said. (No matter what kind of situation you're in, being calm is the first thing to do.)

After calming down, Paimon closed her eyes for a bit then "Ah!" She let out a surprised voice. "Looked like Paimon became a spirit-like existence according to this world's law, For now, Paimon can only be seen and heard by Aether alone, but if Aether shared some of Mana Paimon can materialize in the world and be seen by everyone."

"Phew~" Aether sighed in relief knowing there was nothing wrong with his partner "I wished you would tell me this sooner and not panicked like that" He rolled his eyes looking at Paimon.

"Ehehe" Paimon tried to laugh it off.

"Anyway, so this place isn't Monstadt?" Aether looked around again, and he was standing in front of quite a big fountain, in a plaza-like place in the middle of the city. It's also full of traffic and people going here and there. He also saw normal humans, demi-human-like people, like Diona, and Gorou, and also a Vishaps-like person walking on two feet.

Paimon nodded "We successfully jumped into another world" then when Paimon tried to explain what this world is.

They both heard something. "What's going on?" It's a young man's voice.

Aether peeked, and he saw a short black-haired young man wearing black and white long-sleeve and long pants clothes. They matched each other like a uniform. There's also a white bag in his hand. (This guy stood beside me and had been closing his eyes since the first time I'm aware of my surroundings) Lex thought as he measured the young man.

"No matter how I see it, it's impossible to be artificially made" The young man monologue. Paimon immediately lost interest in that young man, But Aether had a feeling he was different from the others. And logically speaking his clothes are also far different from the others. It intrigued him a bit. so he keeps listening to the young man.

"Wait…" The young man continued

The young man looked surprised for a moment then… "Does this mean… I've been summoned into a different world!?" he suddenly shouted. Which shocked the shit out of Paimon.

"Wahh!?" Paimon yelped. She immediately pulled Aether away from the young man, "Let's go Aether!! Paimon felt there was something strange with this guy! No, Paimon KNOW there's something wrong with this guy! Let's avoid him, he might be a crazy person!!"

Aether willingly gets pulled by Paimon while trying to understand his words (Did he also a traveler?) then he shook his head lightly (It's not good to conclude early, I don't know anything about this world, let's think about it later) there Aether goes with Paimon leaving Natsuki Subaru who screamed like a crazy person alone.
