BRUNCH 1

I had been sleeping for hours and finally woke up to Gandhi's songs.

'It was an immortal land,

He rose from the sundering sea.

'He does not belong here...

'It was a light we saw, oh take it back...

'We want a new land where gold grows on trees...

"Ishaka favour thy seed again...

I wiped sleep away from my eyes as I sat up. Gandhi had the loveliest voice but she just sings the worst songs.

"Oh good evening my lady, I'm sorry if I woke you up with my songs." She smiled, seeming in the best mood today.

"You look happy." I got out of bed.

"But I am happy." She smiled still dusting around the room. She does this every morning and evening stating that even if the room looks dirty, the feet of past dwellers of the fort had stepped in here. They move around every day so she has to sweep the dirt they bring in.

I shook my head. Everyone had what they believed in, they say our belief keeps us safe from harm and danger.
