breakfast time

(((((sorry for the long, long wait, had writers block lol. let me know if you like the story so far and give me some ideas if you're up to it. kind of funny having writers block though was actually just busy having fun with my new truck, work and video games. going to try and get some more done though for this story. and let me know if these chapters are short or long, please.)))))

"OK, back to the question at hand," I turned back to Vanathon. "Well let's just say I'm not from around these parts and they," she pointed at Carna and Sungsam. "Said I could travel with y'all." "I see." was all I said as I looked at Carna and Sungsam. They looked away from me twiddling their thumbs. I shook my head, for some reason I was not surprised. "Well welcome to the group then, Vanathon." I replied looking back at her. she smiled and nodded her head in acknowledgement. "So, after breakfast we are going to head to the next town to register at the guild as adventurers. is that ok with everyone here?' "Yeah." they all replied. I nodded my head. "Can we get someone over to take our order please!" Carna called out towards the bar area. "On my way." a young boy's voice came from the other side the door. A boy looked to be about 15, came out from the kitchen dressed in black pants and a white t-shirt with an apron around his waist and walked over to our table. 'How can I help you this morning?" "Can we all get the beast stew please." Carna said, before anyone else could answer. he looked at everyone else and we all shrugged like 'sure.' "And don't forget to bring some for the little fox over there." Sungsam said sticking here tongue out at Refrig. Refrig growled at Sungsam and we all laughed. I whispered in her ear. "she's just kidding." Refrig looked up at me and winked. I chuckled. "So, five bowls of beast stew?" he asked, and we all nodded. "Ok, I'll have that out here in abit." he replied and turned back towards the kitchen. he stopped and turned back around "what would you like to drink with all that?" he asked. "Water, please." I said, and everyone else agreed to that to. he nodded and turned back to the kitchen. Refrig jumped to my lap and curled up. I started rubbing her head. her fur is so soft and silky. I could hear a purr-like sound coming from her throat. and I chuckled. I thought to myself evilly 'I wonder what she'd do if I threw some mud on her.' I chuckled again at the thought. her ears twitched, and she looked up at me curiously. I looked away real quick laughing. she cocked her to the side asking, "what's so funny Yentzi?" I shook my head, smirking. "Nothing, just a random intrusive thought that I am going to keep to myself." she shakes her head "If you say so." and lays back down on my lap. "Hey Carna, what's your story? How did you become what you are now. actually, who do you represent?" I asked, Refrig's ear perked up and Sungsam looked at her curiously. "Well, I represent the king of the pantheon country. My dad is the king of the...." "Ooooo, so you're a princess then!" Sungsam interrupted. "Yeah, so keep your voice down." she replied seriously. "Oh, sorry about that." she looked down apologetically. "As I was saying my dad is the king of the pantheon country, pantheon being another word for beast man." she stopped there as the waiter had come out with our food. "Here is your food, friends." he said setting the dishes of food on the table and handed them out. Refrig sat up and jumped up to the corner of the table to my left. the waiter set a bowl in front of her. she nodded her thanks to the waiter. he then handed the waters out. "Let me know if there is anything else I, or our staff can help you with." he said, bowing and left. I looked at the bowl of beast stew. "So what beast meat is used in this beast stew?" I asked, looking up. "Wild boar." Carna replied. "Oh, so it's somewhat like the stew from my world." I thought to myself, nodding. I took a bite of the stew and it was like an explosion of flavors in my mouth. "it's awesome" I exclaimed out loud and everyone giggled. "And since I had nothing to do for my dad at the moment he sent me to guide you." Carna continued. " I see." I replied taking another bite of the stew. "I have to say this again hahaha, but this stew is awesome!" They all giggled and we finished our food in a quiet peaceful, mood. "So, who's paying heh, I don't have any funds for I just came from the woods." I asked, somewhat embarrassed. "No problem Yentzi. I'll pay for it." Carna said waving her hand back and forth. She then gets up and heads to the counter. Sungsam looks at me. "Why didn't you say something. I have tons of loot in my cave. What's mine is also yours now since we are in a contract." "Are you sure?" I asked nervously. "Absolutely positive." She grinned. "We can get that before we head to the guild." "That's fine with me." I replied, "what about you Vanathon?" I asked turning to her. "Huh?! Where is she?" I scratched my head. And turned to the others. "Did yall see her leave?" They shook there heads. "Oh well. I'll let the Inn Keeper know, to let Vanathon know, what we're doing." I replied getting up and heading over to the Inn Keeper. "Hey." I greeted him. He nodded at me saying " your friend told me to tell you she had to head out. But she'll catch up with yall later." "Oh, uh, OK thanks." I replied. He nodded. "No problem. I turned back and headed to my group, who all had gathered at the door, I nodded. "Alright let's go on another adventure." "Yeah!" All 3 members said at the same time. Then we went outside and headed for the village exit. We left the village and had Sungsam transform when we got to the woods. We all hoped on her back and she took of heading in the direction towards her cave.
