"Harper!"
She was sitting in bed with her back resting on the headboard. Her laptop was on her lap that was clamped together. And her glasses perched on the bridge of her nose. This only means one thing, my best friend is coding.
"I miss you!" Her instinct picked up what my crazy ass was about to do. She quickly got rid of her laptop on her lap and raised her hands to the level of her chest in defense before I ruggedly jumped into the bed and gathered my arms around her waist. I nudged my face on her tummy.
"I miss you so much," I repeatedly said.
"Come on, Addy. Stop being a drama queen. It has been just there weeks since we last saw each other." She says grumpily. But that didn't stop her from patting my back in an affectionate way like a mother does to her child.
I pulled away and laid my head on her lap. My feet dangle sideways on the right side of the bed.
I look into her eyes and she gifted me a smile.
