Tightrope tension

"Huuu….whoo. Okay, we got this. It's just a tightrope. Put the unicycle down….stand on….give it a push, and....we're off."

"YEAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!

NO FEAR!! NO FEAR!!!"

"Daddy, I wish I could be as brave as that elephant. It's like he was born on that thing."

".....If only you people down there knew the truth."

"That's a fine specimen you got there, Mrs. Anela. How much for it?"

"He's not a specimen. He is an elephant, and he's not for sale."

"Oh, come on now. You and I both know that your circus is dropping. If you sell him, heck, if you sell any of your animals, you could use the winnings to buy yourself a way bigger and nicer circus.

"Well, Mr. Bones. Let me tell you the same thing I told all the others who came before you too sell me out.

I'm not interested. My circus may not be bringing in the luscious green, but what I do grow is lasting friendship. Money is no option for you, but there are days that even you do not have seats filled, whereas I never lack. Secret? Ha, there is no secret. We live by the Golden Rule, but then when we turn to animals; the rule now goes away since they can't understand us?

When someone can't understand our language, we teach them.

If you can't buy happiness, then what makes you think you can buy friendship? You can't. You build it!!!!"

"That's your secret? Anel, I truly want to help, but if you indeed do run your ship off of friends then don't ships both export….and…..import? Where are your goods?"

(It should be prominent now, but if not; it's ok. Whenever I take a week or two off of writing my AOH series, you can betcha I'm most likely writing a short story that I'll either post on here, or writing a personal story for someone. Very rarely will you see me in public without a piece of paper and a pencil in hand. Whether drawing, writing, or taking notes; it's a part of me. This time, I was at Merchandise Outlet and saw a tiny 120 page notebook, except this was from moving studios. Meaning, it was one of those 3d moving covers. So yea. I had to give it a try. Took me a week to fill it up, and now I share it with you. Hope you enjoy this piece.)
