Thought I'm just a Lizard

I am Joyce Guiero, I just turned 32 yesterday. I am currently walking at the street heading towards my workplace, as the lovely morning sun rays hitting my very body. I am a Pharmaceutical Physicians that study many kinds of drugs and also make new drugs.

After walking for a while, I arrived infront of the hospital. As I enter, I was greeted by the guard, nurses, and doctors.

Guard, "Good morning, doc"

Coworker 1:"Good morning, Joyce"

Coworker 2:"Morning, Joyce"

"Good morning" I said while waving my hands at them.

I continued to walk towards the meeting room. after a while, I arrived I opened the door and saw a lot of people wearing white clothes, All of them were doctors. I took my seat beside the man in the middle, he was the head doctor, john.

"Now that Dr. Joyce is here, we should start the meeting," said Dr. John, everyone nodded.

"everyone we should call the new drug created by Dr. Joyce Guiero, the 'Restoration Drug'," said Dr. john.

Random dr.1, "I have no problem with that"

Random dr.2, "Same here"

Random dr.3, "That name does fit the drug"

"Good, then it's decided," said Dr. John. He then, look at me and said, "You should also take a year of vacation, after all, you work very hard to create this perfect drugs."

"Don't worry about the payment, the government will surely give you more that a million," he added.

"Thank you, Dr. John," I said.

One and a half hour later the meeting ended. They keep complimenting me and the that made me embarrassed. I was told that I should take a vacation for a year, well, I have no problem with that. Especially the payment.

"I'M GONNA BE RICH!!" I shouted at the hallway, luckily, no heard me.

I'm currently walking at the hall way, heading towards my lab. I then used the elevator because the Laboratories were located under ground the hospital. after getting off the elevator, I started to walk again, after a while I arrived at the deepest room, my lab.

The reason why I'm here, is because I have to clean up my lab. I'll be gone for a year so, might as well clean it. I also need to send the lizards here to the drug factory, after all, their cells are the main ingredient on making the Restoration Drug.

There is a total of two hundred ninety nine lizards inside the glass boxes in my lab. I also use rats, but there are not in my lab. Because I only use them when testing a newly developed drug. well, I'm done experimenting so their useless for me now, and beside I'm rich enough to retire and live my life all by my self. But, no one know what kind of destiny will lead my life into, despite being 32 years old, I still look like 25 years old with my white hair and crimson red eyes, I can proudly say that I'm beautiful. So I can't tell if I will marry someone in the future.

In the past, it was so quiet in here so I brought a speaker in my lab, I also once brought a headphone but, my ears hurts so much after using it, That's why I brought a bag size speaker instead and put it in the corner. I turned on the music speaker and it creates a very loud broken noise. I instantly covered my ears and looked at the speaker, I then, noticed that the lower part of the speaker was wet.

I pushed the on and off button again, but the speaker didn't respond. I usually left my speaker on plug and not take it off. I tried to take of the plug but, a powerful electric charge pushed me away upon making contact with the wire, my butt hit the ground. I stood up again to turn off the circuit breaker but, I was too late the glass boxes where the lizards were, started to crack. after a second, it shattered into the ground both small and big pieces.

The lizards inside it scattered around looking a way to escape but, some of the stuck themselves on my body. I tapped them off me, shakes my body and stomping my feet. It was so ticklish and uncomfortable at the same time, after stomping for a while, my right foot landed on a two inches vertical Sharp glass piece.

"AAAHHHHH!" I screamed in pain.

I could feel the tip of the glass hitting the bone in my right foot. It hurts so much, like hell. The lizards still climbing up to my body and making me more uncomfortable as I am now. Because of my right foot and the lizards on my body, I can't hold my balance any longer by only using my left foot. after a few seconds, I lost my balance and fell to to ground while my back first.

I was unable to see the ground behind my back, but there was 90 degree angle and four inches tall glass piece. The exact center of my back landed on the glass.

"AAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!" I screamed even louder than the speaker.

after a while my voice didn't came out or more like it couldn't. As my blood spreads and almost filled the entire room, I slowly but surely losing my consciousness as tears began to fall from my eyes. I have so some regret in my life, and that is for not having a lover, not even once. I had so many opportunities in the past especially when I'm still in high school. there were so many guys confessed their feelings to me, but I didn't accept it, because I wanted to reach my dream first before anything else.

After thinking about the regret of life, I started to lost my consciousness.

I opened my eyes, my vision was blurry but, I'm certain that I saw a color green surrounding. After the blurriness on my eyes are gone, my vision is now very weird, I can see 180 degree around me. I see giant trees around me. I tried to move my body and It felt weird. I looked at my side by turning my body to my side I could see a lizard's skin, lizard's legs, and a lizard's tail. I tried moving my head again to my other side and saw the same thing as the other side. On that moment I wanted to shout but I can't.

I'M A FREAKING LIZARD?!!

"*SQUEAK*?!!"
