Chapter 50 – Behind the scenes.

After that little incident with those unknown conspiracies, I decided to fuck this place and just focus on my own growth.

The only reason why I stopped them was for them not to make a mess that would hinder my growth, but fuck it! I don't want to spend my entire time defending this place!

So, fuck them! And fuck this city! Go make out or whatever, I don't care.

Instead of carrying about those conspiracy bastards or the city safety, I focused on using the winter season to my advantage.

With the winter, I'm way stronger now!

And now, I headed straight to the D+ rank danger zone.

Before those bastards create any more chaos that will hinder me and force me to run away, I need to level up as much as possible.

I trained myself enough, but I still need to do more experiments with monsters, however for now: Levels.

I went straight to the D+ rank danger zone and immediately began hunting monsters around.

So far so good. No real problems.

The monsters were VERY noticeable stronger compare to the D rank monsters, but I managed.

However, I did not encounter any traces of the conspiracies.

First day.

Second day.

Week.

Nothing.

Did they gave up after I stopped their plans?

Honestly… I wasn't expecting this.

I was… I don't know… Confused?

I mean. I still don't know their goal or anything, but I can tell that these guys were not good people.

Still, there was a chance that instead of focusing on their plan right now, they would try to get rid off me.

Its both good and bad.

Bad: since I will have somebody hunting me and I don't know who.

Good: They will probably not cause any chaos to the residence to the city, meaning I can maybe stay here longer.

Still, it would be a good idea to at least know who the fuck these conspiracies were.

Well, let's hope I won't run into them ever again.

[Meanwhile at the city.]

"A new monster was sighted in the forest?!"

[Amelia – Guild master of the Greyway city]

"Y-yes guild master!" – said a male adventure.

"In the D rank forest, we found an unknown monster present in the area. It was a monster made out of ice and plants and it had something like a deer skull on its head."

"?"

"Ice and plant…. There are no monsters like those…. In the forest…. Are you sure about that monster existence?"

"Y-yes! I and my party members saw the monster. Here! We even have a hand drawn picture of the monster. Its not perfect, but I think it can tell how the monster kind of looked like?" – said the man while giving a bad drawing of the winter forest leshy to the guild master. The drawing is indeed bad, but it does give a general information about the monster appearance.

"Hm… I see… Thank you for the informations."

The three adventures left the room before then leaving the adventure guild and then heading straight to some random inn nearby.

"Boss. As you said, we have gave the adventure guild the shitty drawing of the monster that attacked our man."

One of the adventures who were just few minutes ago in the adventurer guild, took out a weird gem looking sphere where a voice was coming out.

"Good." – said the voice from the sphere.

"But boss, I don't get it. Wouldn't it be better to not let them know about that monsters? We want them to suffer as much damage as possible." – said adventurer.

"You bloody idiot." – said the voice from the sphere.

"We cannot deal damage to them over and over. We need to deal a huge amount of damage to the city to the points it's completely destroyed, and that weird monster existence is hindering our plans."

"That device should have scare off low ranking monsters and yet, that monster wasn't affected. Not only that, it even spoke a human language."

"It's an intelligent monster, so there is no surprise there that it wasn't affected. It doesn't affect monsters affect monsters that are strong or intelligent."

"Anyway, if we want to proceeded with our plans, we need to have that weird unknown monster out of the picture."

"So, make sure that the Hounds take the quest and convince their leader to join in."

"Honestly, I don't care who kills who, monster win or the Hounds win, it will work for us either way."

"So just shut up and fulfil your orders."

The sphere shaped device stopped glowing, indicating that the device was shut down.

While a one plot was happening inside the city, another action was taking place.

"Hm… No good as well?"

Inside the cave, the winter forest leshy was surrounded by some plants and ice.

(Fuck me… Another failure.)

(I'm keep trying to make the winter forest foot man live longer, but it doesn't work.)

(I can use same amount of strength to make a foot soldier with very long time limit life span, but it will make them very weaker. You can even tell by their appearance that they are two different beings.)

(Hm… Yea… I think I have to give up on them and start researching on how to make an "Real Monster" instead of those "Temporarily" ones.)

(However, I didn't done a lot of research with the "Real Monsters", since I wanted to have monsters "NOW".)

(But, by the look of things temporarily monsters has their down sides.)

(I can probably make stronger temporarily monster, but its life spawn will be probably very short. Maybe few hours if not just 1.)

(Well, maybe I will find a way to the make the temporarily monsters stronger or do something about their life spawn or maybe find a different ways of using them.)

(So… I guess I have to focus on the real monsters right now.)

(But that is the annoying thing, I don't have time any good territory where I can conduct those experiments and this cave will not do.)

(Not only that, I want to focus on leveling up while the winter lasts.)

(There is also the case with those conspiracies.)

(I honestly doubt I will evolve before the new year, but I can still level up and increase my existing power thanks to the winter power up.)

(Still, I need to start researching more and more about monsters creation and different type of monsters I can create.)

(I'm strong and I know it, even without the winter.)

(But there is a limit what I can do alone.)

(It would be honestly nice if I could find a nice spot where I can make my own home or something.)

(Well, creating an "Home" for a monster will have some risks involved.)

(Still, I need to at least be able to create more powerful temporarily monsters in case I need numbers.)

(Somebody is getting near this place!)

[Meanwhile, outside]

"…"

"Hey. Did you checked this place?" – asked an adult adventurer.

"No sir. But this appear to be just a small cave, so I doubt any monsters would even use this spot to rest or even hide." – said male adventurer with cat ears.

"Still, go check it."

The group of adventures headed to the small cave and before long, they found a pile of weird plants and ice.

"?"

"What the hell is this thing?"

"I don't know… But… It look like some weird plants and ice? Wait… This one is interesting? It look like a vine with ice thorns?"

"The target is said to be monster made out ice and plants…. Is it by any chance our target was here recently? Look around for- "

"No need." – said the unknown voice.

"?!"

When the adventures looked behind, they saw a tall monster right behind them with a blood covered claws and mouth.

"Don't worry. The guys outside are already dead."

"So, why don't we have a nice and long talk?" – asked the monster while approaching the adventures.

"Tch! Get him!" – shouted the adult adventurer.

The two demi humans' adventures rushed at the leshy, but the monster just swinged at both of them with its backhand, knocking them to the side and making them hit the walls, before then sprouting vines from the cave walls that ended up wrapping themselves around the adventures, making them being held captive by the vines.

"Hey. Talk." – said the monster.

One of the adventures that was still standing came rushing at the monster and swinged their giant sword at the monster, but the monster just grabbed the sword and began freezing it before then shattering it with its claws.

The adventurer stared dumbfounded, but before he could get his act together, the monster kicked the man, sending him flying across the small cave and making him hit the wall on the end of the cave.

The last adventurer that was standing stared at the monster in fear as it just effortlessly took down everybody in near instance, making the adult adventurer being the only one standing.

"Well then. I'm going to ask again."

"Are you now willing to have a nice and relaxing talk with me? Or am I going to have to rip your limbs one by one to make you talk?"

"Chose wisely."
