Chapter 20 - I....

*thud*

The middle-aged officer standing beside Colonel Stedman had fallen to the ground at that point.

The personnel present hurried to see what was going on, especially the medical personnel. Ignoring Dr. Akeel that was sweating bullets from his forehead with a red face at the moment.

Even his Assistant Roy was focusing on the middle-aged officer and didn't notice what's happening to him.

"Captain Gill! What is happening to you?"

The colonel as the person closest to The middle-aged officer also known as Captain Gill asked in surprise.

Captain Gill didn't seem in a condition to answer, his body started convulsing randomly like a person having a partial seizure.

His movement was not that big, almost staying in the same place only his limbs would move around from time to time.

"Get out of the way please!"

"We need to see the patient!"

The medical team responded quickly and started pushing and shoving people out of the way.

"Please keep some distance to let the patient breathe."

"You two, don't let people overcrowd around the patient."

The doctor with the highest seniority in the team, a tall black-skinned middle-aged man, instructed the crowd and started ordering the paramedics.

"Put him on his side."

Two doctors put the patient on the side to make it easier to breathe.

"Dr. Nelson, do you think the patient has photosensitive epilepsy?"

Another white-skinned middle-aged doctor beside the Black doctor known as Dr. Nelson asked.

Photosensitive epilepsy is a form of epilepsy in which seizures are triggered by visual stimuli that form patterns in time or space, such as flashing lights; bold, regular patterns; or regular moving patterns.

The previous multi-colored flash conforms to one of the causes of photosensitive epilepsy, that's why he asked Dr. Nelson.

Dr. Nelson thought about it only for a second then shook his head.

"If it was a normal person, I would think so too. However, the patient is already such a big captain, how could he have photosensitive epilepsy?"

"Even if the space force hadn't fought any war, most of its members were transferred from the Air force and have witnessed countless explosions. Dr. Sith, do you think they would keep someone with photosensitive epilepsy?"

The white doctor, Dr. Sith nodded in agreement.

"Put him on a stretcher and take him to the medical unit, also did someone record how much time has passed since he started having a seizure?"

Dr. Nelson wanted to examine the patient with an EEG machine in the medical unit.

"It has been approximately 2 minutes and 35 seconds."

One of the personnel responsible for organizing the meeting compared the time the meeting was supposed to be held to the current time and answered.

Giving him a nod, Dr. Nelson continued to observe the situation.

*grip*

When one of the paramedics was about to put captain Gill on the stretcher, his hand was grabbed suddenly with a strong force, scaring the s*it out of him and caused him to scream.

"Ahhhh!"

The sudden scream causes everybody around him to flinch and retreat a couple of steps back.

As if irritated by the loud sound, the hand clenching the paramedic increased its strength, making him feel like his bones are about to break apart.

"Stop screaming!!"

A low and intimidating growl reached the screaming paramedic and the people surrounding the patient.

The poor paramedic went silent instantly, like a screaming duck caught by its neck.

*gasp* *gasp*

Gasps of surprise echoed as the crowd saw that clenched belonged to Captain Gill.

The patient that previously had symptoms similar to seizure at some point of time has stopped shaking.

*inhale* *exhale*

The sound of Captain Gill's heavy breathing didn't sound the same as that of a normal human, it was a much deeper sound, more like a beast breathing.

"Captain Gill! Please let go of your hand if you are aware!"

At this moment, the medical finally reacted, Dr. Nelson asked the Captain to release the poor paramedic hand in a soft voice, afraid of irritating the patient.

Hearing what the doctor said, Captain Gill only moved his eyes around to observe the situation first without responding. Only after making sure that he was safe did he let go.

Captain Gill has been through a lot in his life, pain and injuries are not something foreign to him, throughout his career he hasn't tasted less sickness and hardship.

But the feeling he just felt scared him out of his mind.

After the multi-colored light flashed by and before the metal sheet hitting sound came, he felt as if his body was shrinking on itself gradually and his consciousness slowly slipping away.

Before he could make a sound, he fell unconscious or more as he fell into a dream where someone was squeezing his body like a rag over and over, without having the ability to resist.

No, to be more accurate, he didn't want to resist at all. The body only felt more joyful with every squeeze while his mind became calmer and sharper as time continued.

After what felt like a year or two of getting squeezed repeatedly, his conscience slowly started awakening from the dream. The calmness he felt before also started receding, in its place fear and confusion appeared.

Before waking up completely, he saw silhouettes of different colors of shapes dancing around him like ghosts adding to his confusion. With the return of his control over the body, his first instinct as a soldier is to fight back in any way possible. That's why he wanted to grab the nearest thing to him as a weapon, which happened to be the poor paramedic's hand.

The sudden scream from the poor chap only managed to make him tenser, clenching his hand more ready to fight while growling at the screamer.

Fortunately, When the crowd moved back and didn't rush in his direction, it allowed the mind to be soberer. Moreover, Dr. Nelson's soft voice came at the right time and managed to calm his nerves.

"Wait!"

Seeing Captain Gill back online, the medical team wanted to rush forward but was stopped by Dr. Nelson, then he asked the Captain,

"Captain Gill, we need to check your body, please don't panic."

*nod*

By this time Captain Gill was alright, only his breathing was still rushed because of the previous fright.

Only after seeing him nod did he allow them to proceed with the examination.

Two junior doctors stepped first, one examining the blood pressure while the other measures the heart rate. It only took a minute for the results to come out.

"What the hell!"

"It's going through the roof, Captain Gill, do you have any allergies to hydral*zine?"

When they saw the results, the two doctors yelled in surprise with a shocked expression.

"What's happening?"

Dr. Sith asked with a displeased look when he saw his Junior acting like that in front of the patient.

One of them handed the results to him, making his eyes bulge, almost popping.

Blood pressure: 140 mm Hg / 90 mm Hg.

Heart rate: 60 bpm.

"How could he have such a high blood pressure with a low heart rate?"

The doctors started discussing how to proceed.

Colonel Stedman saw an opening and came beside Captain Gill wondering what happened to his bodyguard and asked,

"Captain Gill, how do you feel?"

At this time, the Captain fully returned to his senses, standing up and moving his body around.

"Captain! You shouldn't move around right now!"

A young doctor hurriedly wanted to stop him but was pushed away by Gill.

After moving around for a while, a look of doubt appeared on his face.

As he continued, his face transitioned from doubt to shock.

"I.."

Captain Gill stretched his right hand to the side, the left hand on his chest, and screamed while spinning clockwise.

"I AM A PRINCESS! Hehehe."

I AM A PRINCESS!
