Chapter; 1

I wanted to feel it one more time, to feel his foot come in contact with my ribs kicking all the oxygen out of my lungs, to feel his foot hit me over and over again, I wanted to feel that pain turn to pleasure, I wanted to find my release like I always do, I wanted to feel that one more time before I left, so I intentionally got him angry and waited that evening for him to come and beat the living day lights out of me and as always his blows didn't disappoint.

I took a deep breath of the room a smile forming on my face as I walked further into the house that was currently filled with my stuff. New house. New country. New life. New school. That's right I moved leaving my family behind without a second thought. I walked towards my new room and started arranging how I wanted it, music in the background as I moved round the room placing everything how I wanted.

To say I was tired was an understatement as I flopped down on my new sofa and relaxed for the first time since I started fixing everything, it was already dark outside and I didn't have any food yet so I decided some takeout and a late night ride wouldn't be that bad. I walked out of the house not forgetting to lock it before I walked up to my new motorcycle that was patiently waiting for me in the garage.

"I'll take a large pepperoni pizza and iced coffee" a huge smile on my face knowing that I will finally get some food the guy eyes me weirdly before smiling and turning to give the chef my order.

"Are you new here or just visiting?" his voice is soft and flirty and I have to force myself not to role my eyes at him and be friendly I don't want to get enemies on my first day here. I force a smile remembering that my food is at stake here.

"I just moved here, guess we will be seeing a lot of each other" a small laugh escapes my lips, the chef passes my food to the guy serving me. "Well that was fast" I say when I was removing the money for the food and hand it over to Marcus according to the name tag he was wearing.

"Well that's why it is a fast food restaurant after all" he says in a sarcastic tone and I find myself laughing at that. Maybe he is not that bad, I take the pen on his shirts front pocket and write down my number and my name before leaving the restaurant and heading back to, my new home.

I woke up like two hours ago and decided it was time for me to finally get a job considering the fact that my parents won't be funding me every time as they used to. Surfing through the internet and looking for a job was not as easy as people make it seem so I decided to look for a job like a normal human being. I was currently walking aimlessly around the neighborhood hopping to find a place that is hiring a nineteen year old who has zero experience and apparently a lot of people won't hire you ifyou don't have experience and that completely annoy me how am I supposed to have experience if no one is hiring ugh.

After a long tiring walk I see a gym and it picks my interest. It wasn't as full considering the fact that it was a Thursday and it was a little past midday my stomach growls at the thought and I remember that I didn't have breakfast. The first person saw was the guy behind a desk who I assume is the receptionist and I smile at him before walking up to him hoping that I will finally find a job or at least he can tell me where to find one that doesn't require any 'experience'.

"Hello to you miss and welcome to hill gym where we help you get your dream body at the best and professional experience" his voice was nice and soft but nothing close to flirty like Marcus, the smile on his face seems like he is forcing it which actually makes me laugh. His eyes stick to mine as he waits for me to finally say something.

"Hi, am actually looking for a job" I say and see his eyes zoning of to something at the screen before turning back to me, he gives me a strange look which looks like he is conflicting himself or something and I look at him with confusion and curiosity. I subconsciously cross my fingers and wait for a positive feedback.

"well we do have a spot but it's a hundred present okay to say no to it miss" his says it as if begging me to refuse the job but I smile at him before accepting the offer.

"That's okay, but do I like fill something or like talk to someone about the job" he takes a deep breath before instructing me where to go. I thank him before heading towards the directions he gave me and ending up in front of the manager's office. I take a deep breath before knocking at the door and waiting a few seconds before hearing a faint come in. behind the desk seats a man probably in his late thirties, a huge belly that prevents him from properly fitting in the desk. I thought people who work at a gym are supposed to be physically fit but I guess not.

"I assume that you are here for the job?" it was more of a statement than it was of a question but I answered anyway.

"Yes sir" he eyes me from head to toe before allowing me sit down which I do with no complain. My legs were screaming at me to take a break from all the standing and walking I have done today. I take a sit on the other side of the desk and wait for him to flood me with questions.

"So what's your name" he asks as he pics up a paper from one of the shelves that are attached to the desk.

"Jessica Anderson, but I prefer Jace" I say keeping the smile on my face and trying as much as I can to keep it there even though I can feel my cheeks beginning to hurt but I have to get this job. He gives me a small nod before writing it down and boy does he have awful handwriting, I'm tempted to take the pen away from him and write it myself. My father was a high class perfectionist, he didn't like anything going out of odder which forced me and my brother to somehow adapt those characters such as now, his handwriting keeps ticking me off so I just choose to stare at his office, on his desk sits a huge sign written Rodriguez which I assume is his name, my eyes then move to the walls that was full of either books or magazines or some files I assume are paperwork for the gym. I hear him clearing his throat and I return my eyes to him.

"So Jace what makes you think you are cut out for this job considering the fact that you don't seem to have any experience" I rolled my eyes at him not caring that he may decline me the job, I mean I know that I don't have experience in doing a lot of stuff but he doesn't have be so blunt about it.

"You don't have to be so blunt about my experiences" I mummer under my breath before clearing my throat and looking at him only to find a small smirk playing on his lips. A smirk forms on mine as I remember something that will sure as hell help me get this job. "Well Mr. Rodriguez I so happen to know that the open slot at this gym is giving you lots of problems, meaning that not a lot of people are willing to accept the job, so you not giving me the job will bring you more problems considering the fact that your boss is obviously threatening to fire you if you don't get someone to take up the empty slot, am I write Mr. Rodriguez" the smirk on his lips was long gone but mine only grew when I saw that I was indeed correct. I mentally pat my back for the good job.

"Well Jace, unfortunately you are write about that. So tell me can you fight?" his question makes me rethink everything

"I can, but I am not going to become an underground fighter or something like that" I say making sure to make my voice as serious as possible so that he can know I'm not joking and am not leaving any room for negotiations, a small laugh escapes his lips before responding.

"You are quite the character aren't you? But no am asking because that's the job, the job is to just fight with them, sharpen their fighting skills, it's basically training them if I may say" I nod along as he explain and I find myself smiling I can do that I have been fighting since I was ten, this will be a piece of cake.

"So when do I start" I ask with a smile on my face knowing I already got the job.

"You look like you still in collage" he eyes me and I nod my head and he continues talking "Okay, how is your schedule?" I remove my phone from my pocket and open my schedule before handing it to him to see "Okay looks like you will be here from four in the evening every day except Friday which I can see you have no classes so you will be here at exactly 7AM please don't be late and in case of anything that will affect your work please contact us and we will see what we can do" he hands me the gym's business card and dismisses me. I walk back to the receptionist who looks at me with a smile on his face.

"That look on your face is telling me that you got the job" his voice filled with excitement as I move closer to where he is

"I so did, am starting on Monday" I say excitement evident in my voice and I didn't really care. "I'm gonna take a private tour round the gym to get familiar with the place" I leave and head further into the gym. People were working out on various parts some on the machines others on the mats on the corner of the room I smile at some of the people before walking to other parts of the gym seeing people doing yoga walking further others were doing aerobics and further in was a fighting arena where I assume was where I would be working I look inside and it had a few people were inside and it look like they were practicing. I walked in and looked at what they were doing. I stood there watching as I analyzed their form noticing every little mistake they did before I decided to get in and help them. I took off the jacket I was wearing before got in and stopped the match.

"Sorry for stopping you guys but can I show you guys something real quick" they were both breathless so just gave me a slight nod before letting me do whatever it was that I wanted to do without question. I helped them, correcting all their mistakes before I decided that it was enough for that day. I was also sweating by the time we all decided to call it a day. I left the gym and headed to the only place I knew that served fast and sweet food. I open the door making the bell ring alerting the servers that another customer has entered the room. A smile appears on my face when I see Marcus behind the counter and I walk up to him.

"Hello stranger?" a smile forms on his face when he see it's me, and he moves closer to the counter.

"Well hello to you too, Jace, you seem to be in a good mood " his voice isn't as flirty as it was yesterday but more friendly and a hint of excitement" what can I get you this fine afternoon" he eyes me as he waits for me to decide what I'll have.

"Surprise me" I say and I see his eyes grow with mischief before he turns back to the computer a smirk playing on his lips.

"Do you eat spicy food?" he smiles at me and it just makes the whole situation look a whole lot more than it already is. I slowly nod my head at him and his smile grows wider "good" he says and hands me my bill. I read what he ordered for me and my curiosity picks at how delicious it sounds. He turns around to get my order as I take out my wallet and pay for the food.

"Thank you" I say as I take my food and walk out of the restaurant the bell above the door ringing as I open and close the door and I walk home. I take out the food and make a mental note to go grocery shopping tomorrow. I sit on the sofa my food on one hand the remote on the other. I turn on the TV and surfing for a good movie to watch before I head to bed.
