Chapter 27: Quick Death

The situation is worsening, Ray is unconscious after the fight with Vade. Now the elf bandit leader Taiga is on his way towards Ray to get his revenge, He will not hesitate to kill anyone who is standing in his way. On the other side Ryo also has to make a move to stop the leader or even defeat the leader if he has the chance.

"Hey Zed it is okay for Ryo to go alone"

"For me it's dangerous for him but we can't do anything for now the leader is currently looking for Ray and what would happen if he found Ray unconscious?"

"But still, I can't let-"

"Bell, Forget it our top priority is waiting for Ray to awake"

Bell really worry about Ryo going alone but he must take care of Ray, The feeling of hopelessness really bothering Bell and it's actually affecting Zed but he tries to maintain his composure by not letting his tears drop.

The room feel gloomy, It's quiet and dark like there is no light at all. Plus the feeling of hopelessness. Suddenly Tezz start to communicate with them, He told them that Ray is fine.

"What's with that face huh, Feeling despair already HAHAHA"

"How dare you!"

"My,My chill Ray is fine he's just unconscious but it all depends on his willpower, If his will to live is strong I'm sure he will survive, But don't worry I'll help recover fast"

After hearing that they both finally cheer up a bit, No more hopelessness and for now they're hoping Ray will awake in no time because they're worried who is going to face the leader one-on-one. A flashback suddenly appear in their mind where they're getting attack by some unknown entity.

They must help Ryo before it's too late, For now they must pray for Ray to wake up. While on Ray's mind he is not going anywhere it's like he is stuck on the other world. So he thought he was dead until Tezz's voice started to ringing into his ear.

"Oi wake up did you hear me?"

"What do you want?"

"Just wake up already I have to show you"

"Alright I will just wait a second"

After waiting for about five second Ray finally wake up. He wake up in a different place, It's like an old castle in the middle of nowhere, First Ray take a step into the old castle and wander around. His admiration towards the castle is undoubtedly weird. Why would someone admire an old castle maybe this is the first time for Ray to witness a huge castle in his life.

He check every corner of the castle, The castle have 10 rooms and Ray check them one by one. The last room was like the king's resting room so Ray approach the room carefully, He start to push the door slowly until it fully opened.

"You're late boy"

Immediately greeted by an unknown entity, The entity is sitting at an old chair and reading a book. Ray who is surprised immediately raise his guard up, The entity turn his head and start to gaze at Ray. It's not an ordinary gaze, It's full of menacing aura but the entity immediately stop after Ray is struggling too much.

"Hahaha, I'm sorry kid that was a harsh greet"

"Wait, That voice, Tezz?"

"What took you so long to reach me"

"Hahaha, I'm a bit lost when I enter this castle, So what is this place?"

"Hah can't you tell?"

"No hehe"

Tezz sigh, He start to explain this is his castle back then when he was a king, Now he is already enter his eternal sleep. He wish that his eternal sleep is in his castle. Unfortunately, Ray's mom stole his soul by using some kind of magic and start to transferring it to his son Ray.

The only person that know this incident was The current vampire king, But after that Tezz didn't remember anything about what happen to Ray's mother so he apologize to Ray.

"It's not your fault but why would my mom transfer you in my body?"

"I hate to tell but she was doing some kind of experiment, She even contacted me during my eternal sleep. She said she wanted me to become her lab rat. She even told me if this experiment failed she will take the full responsibility for her action, Fortunately the experiment was a success"

"Ah I see so my mother is some kind of researcher"

Chit chat aside Tezz must tell Ray about the current situation they're facing, It's not a right time for the idle chat.

"You must awake soon kid your friend is in danger while you unconscious Ryo left to face the elf bandit leader you must hurry and help your friends"

"What? arrgh what is wrong with Ryo so how can I awake?"

"But first I will give you some skill so you can utilize it in a situation like this, It's a regeneration skill it will help you a lot in the future"

"Alright I get it just tell me how to wake up"

"It's easy I will just stab you and you will awake"

"Go for it"

"Here it comes"

Ray got stab on his chest, Then after a few minute Ray start to open his eye slowly and immediately wake from his bed Zed and Bell surprised after seeing Ray wake up like it's nothing happen to him. But there is no time to waste; he must pursuit Ryo who is currently headed towards the leader.

"But your wound?"

"It's fine now let's go to where Ryo is"

"Ah okay"

The regeneration skill is insane, All of Ray's wounds got heal immediately. They quickly head out to find Ryo whereabouts, But on their way Ray saw many soldier are struggling to deal with the assassin so he told Bell and Zed to help the soldier deal with the remaining of the bandit.

"We will catch you later after we done dealing with this"

"Be careful Zed, Bell"

Ray immediately rush to find Ryo and he wonders if they're retreating too far from the battlefield. But that is not the case he must focus on finding Ryo before it's too late.

On Ryo's side he already found the leader, looking at the expression of the leader Ryo know he want to locate Ray as soon as possible, He immediately took the advantage and surprise attack the leader. As expected the leader is focus on finding Ray, He didn't expect to get ambush by Ryo. Ryo kick him on the left ribs and sent him flying towards some house.

But the leader immediately recover from Ryo's kick.

"Sneak attack huh not bad for a kid but I got no time to play with you"

"So you're planning to go for Ray? But sorry"

"You talk too muc-"

Once again Ryo strike him and send him flying.

"Alright if this is your wish"

"Shut the hell up and get serious will you or you will break another bone"

"You bastard!"
