The silver half moon

The guards wore beautiful silver armour and long white cloaks with gold trim. On the second and on the chest was engraved the royal crest in the shape of a half-moon, also silvered with shades of gold. They wore a silver crown or tiara that passed between the hair and forehead, it was like a headband but worked in a particular way. In total there were four, but one of them had female features and it was rare to see them as guards, she was the only one. Instead, the other two wore beautiful long hair, straight and blond, while the last one had beautiful and rare green hair, of very beautiful different shades.

"You have to come with us, we will take you to the king. You will be punished for causing damage to the people and this holy festival. Do not resist or it will be worse for you." Said the first guard pointing his spear at us, also made of the white wood of the trees with a gold tip.

Azzurra hugged her closer to me she was afraid and Amdir was in front of us.

"Stranger, uncover the face." He ordered the second guard referring to Amdir.

"Wait, but they're the little prince's little friends." Said the third guard.

Meanwhile, some merchants collected the fallen objects from the stalls and repaired them. Many were complaining about the damage. Everyone was looking at us badly and suspiciously, we had drawn too much attention to us and were murmuring behind us.

"It's true Igor, but the law is the same for everyone, you know it well." The first guard answered him and pointed his spear at us more and more, almost touching my nose.

"Take them and tie them." He ordered the fourth.

"Stop !!!" Amdir yelled as he suddenly took off his hood and bared his face.

The guards widened their eyes.

"Prince ??? What are you doing here ??? Hey, drop that spear immediately, Fervus." Igor said in a panic.

"Excuse me, little prince. I didn't know it was you. It will never happen again." Fervus, who was the first guard, apologized.

He quickly lowered the spear and got off the horse, bowed before him with his face down, the others did the same.

The crowd that was now watching that show was very amazed as few had seen the prince.

"Anyway we will take you to the royal palace all the same to the king, that is your father." Igor mumbles, the third guard.

"Okay, but don't hurt my friends." Amdir asked, getting help from Igor to get on the saddle.

"Yes, Your Highness." The guards answered him in chorus.

"Alakeia get the blue-haired girl, while I get the red." He proposed Fervus to the second guard who consented.

"Give me your little hand." Alakeia said to Azzurra, helping her get on the horse.

My sister was watching in fascination that guard with whom she had to share the horse. Strange but true she was the only woman the king had hired as such. Azzurra and I admired her, as it was said that she fought very well and was very strong. She was respected by everyone, she was a beautiful and young warrior of two thousand and ten elven years which corresponded to twenty-five human years. Her silver hair was adorned with rare braids, her skin was very pale and her eyes were a marine blue. In short, everything you could dream of an elven heroine.

Fervus looked at me menacingly, he had not yet mounted his faithful steed. He knew my terrible temper very well, as all the troubles I caused was always him running after me. Sometimes he could catch me, sometimes he didn't. But then, being royal guards, we could almost always see them in the palace and every now and then we even exchanged a few words.

"Well then? Are you going to go up to you or, do I have to push that heavy ass you find yourself?" Fervus provoked me with a grin. I could see her emerald eyes hidden by some green locks that looked at me menacingly. He wanted to humiliate me for all the times I had managed to escape his clutches.

I snorted in response. I clung to the horse's mane, as they weren't saddled, and I pushed my foot and managed to climb up. For the elf people, everything was sacred even the animals. They didn't want to stress them with useless saddles and reins. They liked it more, but it was harder to balance without slipping. Once I got the hang of it, it was child's play. Finally, he too went up behind me.

"When are you going to stop always giving me problems? Do you want to stop making me run left and right all the time? Fervus whispered in my ear his tone of voice was very irritated and annoyed.

I didn't give him an answer, I just smiled and he continued to glare at me.

"Here we go!" Gheremial shouted that he was the fourth guard, whispered something to the horse and he left.

We set off at a trot, passing away from the path and the stalls. We arrived very early at the palace, which was, ironically, our home. We left the horses in the stable, located just outside the garden. We gently dismounted from their brave steeds and walked along a dirt path until we reached the entrance to the garden and entered through the large main gate. It was made of white wood, carved with elven signs and symbols and the same was also for the railing that surrounded the elven palace. Our house was built on a large tree typical of that territory, all around you could see only the plants, as it was located not far from the city, but enough to be isolated. In the garden, there was a wall of hedges with green leaves that surrounded the railing, on the right you could see a willow tree and on the left, the lilac plant with purple flowers, in the middle passed a dirt path, which led to the main door of the building. The elves are very fond of the surrounding environment, in fact, their architecture tried to enhance the beauty of nature and never diminish it. They were able to build buildings, doors, fences, etc., which integrated perfectly with the environment. Elven cities were always beautiful to behold, as they were breathtaking scenery and full of natural beauty, precisely because of the love they had for it.

We followed the path that led to the main door which was already open, which meant that the king was already waiting for us. We climbed the long spiral staircases and came to the enormous king's hall. He was already there, sitting in his comfortable golden armchair and beside his beautiful wife, Eliside. The walls were made of white wood, occasionally some ancient war paintings peeped out, of stories based on the world and on the people of the white elves. A long golden carpet ran from the door to the king's front. There were many royal coats of arms, always in the shape of a silver half-moon, with a gold border and a white background. To the right were chairs and a round table, with a golden tablecloth on it, with silver trim, it was all white wood. There the king met with his most trusted royal guards to decide the democratic affairs of the kingdom.
