It has been 800 years since my mind exploded. As I get myself back together, I and Wulfe need to help the world to heal. My firstborn son, Derek, the World healer will accompany us in our endeavor to heal the world, to make the earth livable for humans, and to help them come back from underground. But then it is time for Wulfe to go the heaven, his time has come. The world is healed, humans are above ground and I have lost everything. I let my feline nature take over and become feral, mere jaguar with no feelings.

Chapter 11. Heal The World.

In the darkness in my mind, my mind started to come on again. My mind had healed, combined back together. As my mind slowly pieced itself together, I became aware of a sense of security enveloping me. It was almost comical that this was the first sensation I yearned for, amidst the rough bed beneath me and the stale air surrounding me. Gradually, more sensations flooded in, and my mind began to function properly. With cautious anticipation, I opened my eyes, only to be greeted by an impenetrable darkness. I cautiously moved my body, gradually regaining a sense of self, and memories started rushing back. I was alive again.

It was a jumble at first, but images of Magnum dying in my arms, Murdock's final breaths, and the losses of Dexter and Colin, my mate and his last words, had been for her true mate, not for me. I was almost overwhelmed by my thoughts, threatening to crush me. As I tried to gather myself, I noticed someone holding me. I had been moved to a different location, and there, in the dim light, was Wulfe. His face, filled with concern, gazed upon me as he held me close, murmuring comforting words. In his presence, I felt safe once again. I felt his arms around me, his scent clinging to my skin.

He spoke to me, "Welcome back, my unicorn. I have missed you. It has been a while, but I knew you would recover."

It took a moment for my mouth to cooperate as I whispered, "How long? I remember the explosion, those feelings. Mariella was there, too. How long has it been?"

Wulfe responded, "Approximately 800 years, my unicorn. But you, with that explosion, bestowed upon the world its greatest gift - the return of emotions. Your former pack found these feelings in various stones and gave them upon humanity. The world began to heal, and humans are now starting to rebuild, living above ground in domed cities that filter out radiation. They are slowly reclaiming their lives."

I said, "there was the prophecy of me giving the world its greatest gift, I guess it was correct, I thought in my time that Derek was that but no. "

Silence hung in the air as I absorbed the weight of 800 years passing by. The world was healing, and it was now my turn to contribute. It seemed we had a lot of work ahead of us.

Wulfe was filled with joy. He had been her guardian, protecting her and providing a safe haven for her. He allowed her to release her anger from time to time, and now his unicorn had finally awakened. He was weary, knowing that his life would eventually come to an end, but he wasn't afraid. Though he was tired, there was still something left for him to do. He needed to assist his unicorn and help her further heal the world. He would know when it was time for him to rest.

Wulfe understood that his unicorn, the woman he had revered for centuries, would survive and eventually thrive once more, finding love again. Their love for each other was deep, even though it rarely took a physical form. Their connection was more spiritual, as soulmates often are. In the past, they had shared intimate moments that made his soul sing.

Wulfe sensed that their time together was drawing to a close, though it wasn't quite over yet. There was still work to be done. He wasn't sad or scared, but rather determined to spend this final journey with her, perhaps even experiencing physical intimacy once or twice. He understood everything had a purpose, including the end of the world. He knew she would find true happiness and a happy ending, but he wouldn't be there to witness it, and that was for the best. He wanted her all to himself.

It took me time to gather the will to move, my body lethargic and my mind wandering aimlessly. But my rage, my killer instinct, still burned within me, guarded by Wulfe. He had led me on a relentless path of destruction and carnage, while the world around us suffered greatly. My mind had not been functional, but my darkness and rage had been there. He had let them out. There were nasty individuals out there.

Nuclear explosions had decimated the earth, leaving a thick dust cloud that blocked out the sun. Everywhere felt like winter, not due to snow, but because the atmosphere had been altered by radiation. Though the levels had subsided, it would still be some time before humans could venture above ground. Instead, they sought refuge in their domes, where light and warmth were scarce. Over centuries, they had constructed vast underground cities, where a flicker of electricity brought some semblance of life. I wondered if humanity had truly learned anything, or if they had simply fled from the consequences of their actions, burying their heads like ostriches in the safety of their underground dwellings.

Wulfe informed me that life underground was far from easy for all. Those who held power and control over the cities made life unbearable for those who dared to think for themselves or were born into the wrong circumstances. However, individuals like Mariella and others had ignited a spark of rebellion, leading to the overthrow of the oppressive rulers.

It had been their job, and I had mine. My task was to heal the world, to make the above-ground livable once again. I knew I could do it, even though it would take time. After all, I was immortal, having just woken up from an 800-year nap. I was ready to get started.

Now was the time to plan. I wasn't perfect, and I didn't know everything, but luckily I had Wulfe. He had collected supplies and books while I was out of the picture. I didn't even stop to think if I was the same as before. The past was the past, and I wasn't going to dwell on it. I was already thinking about what we could do.

The first thing that came to mind was the biggest threat or problem: the dust cloud. We needed to find a way to tackle it. We needed something to make it rain, to bring that dust down. The oppressive darkness needed to lighten, and eventually, the sun needed to peek through. Life needed a chance to flourish above ground.

Sunlight was crucial for plants to grow, for more oxygen in the air, and to make the weather warmer and hospitable for human life. It wouldn't be an easy or quick task, and it would take a lot out of me. But time was on my side. I was truly immortal, never going to die. I was destined to walk this earth forever. It was just the way it was.

I wasn't thinking about myself. I was focused on what we needed to do. The dust comprised tiny particles, so we needed something to bind them together, to make them heavier, so they could rain down and be useful as soil.

I had no idea how vast the collection of genetic samples of different animals was, or how much biodiversity had been lost. The weight of the thousands of species buried in history weighed heavily on my mind, wondering what would take their place. Lost in my thoughts, I neglected to dwell on the past, on my ex pack, who they were, and where they might be now. Instead, I was determined to once again embark on a mission to save and heal the world.

Turning to Wulfe, I voiced our first challenge. "The cloud above us is a problem. We need to find a way to bring that dust down. Perhaps some sort of rocket could shoot up there, causing the particles to combine and become heavy enough to rain down."

Wulfe pondered for a moment, his face showing traces of the wisdom he had acquired over centuries of education. "We do have a vast library here," he finally responded. "I suppose I could come up with a plan."

Excitement coursed through me as I continued, "And once we restore their human feelings, we must give them something more substantial. Sunshine. Warmth. If we can create even a small crack in that cloud, showing humans it's possible to clear it away, it could serve as great motivation. And with rockets or explosions strategically deployed across different parts of the Earth, we can weaken the cloud everywhere, speeding up its dispersal. Once the sun shines on Earth again, life can flourish once more."

A smile crept across Wulfe's face, Tech mages sucking magic out, had temporality halted his magic too transforming him from a lanky teen to a mature man, aged between 25 and 30. His brown hair cascaded sexily onto his forehead, highlighting his strong masculine features. His flawless skin seemed to radiate, and his violet eyes sparkled with his wizardry. If I had to compare him to actors, Michael Shanks, Michael Brandon, Luke Perry, and David Boreanaz would be fitting choices. He exuded confidence and pride, standing tall at 6 feet 3 inches, with visible muscles in his arms and chest.

Meanwhile, I remained the same skinny little squirrel with fiery red hair, my slender body lacking curves but compensating with muscles and sinew.

Wulfe, with his piercing gaze, looked at me intently and said, "You understand your role in this too, for you have more than one."

I furrowed my brows, feeling a tinge of confusion as I responded, "Yes, we will strive to make the world habitable once again."

Wulfe nodded, placing his hand gently on my belly, the warmth of his touch spreading through me, as he uttered, "Do not forget, within you lies the potential for millions of reserves. It is your duty to bring them forth so that supernaturals like hybrids, vampires, shifters, and energy beings can grace this world with their unique skills and abilities. Perhaps even the return of magic houses, and the spreading of these creations to other places."

I nodded, acknowledging my role as the mother of the supernatural, a thought that had sparked an idea within me. Silence enveloped us for a moment, as I gathered the courage to speak up.

Uncertain of his reaction, I finally voiced my desire, "I want you to donate your sperm. I will retrieve my eggs at some point, and together we will create babies. The forces that bind me in time may prevent me from conceiving with anyone else, but they cannot hinder the fertilization of my eggs outside of my body. I have done it before. Damon reacted strongly, but it worked. Those embryos can be implanted in others to be nurtured and grown."

Wulfe's smile illuminated his face, and he replied, "As you wish. We will need plenty of them, and someday, whether in this world or the next, our children will be born. I am honored that you asked me, truly."

With a heavy heart, I confessed, "I have seen the survival of lepard and demon, but Adam and Charles are dead. The boys, along with the offspring we created, are forever lost in other realms. You have warned me countless times that one day I will lose you as well, and I want a piece of you to remain in this world. I want something to hold on to."

Wulfe's eyes softened, his voice gentle as he reassured me, "Yes, it will happen, and neither of us can change that. But life goes on, and everything happens for a reason. There are no accidents. Now, we must devise a plan and gather resources. I have collected a multitude of books, and I can transfer knowledge directly into your mind, so we can strategize. One important aspect to consider is the fauna, the animals, and the food chain. We must establish a foundation from the beginning, allowing evolution to take its course in due time."

Feeling a mixture of determination and apprehension, we ascended to a room and settled at a table. The scratching of pen on paper filled the air as we began jotting down our needs and identifying our top priorities. It was time to embark on the journey of healing the world.

The Last Kingdom: Bastard of BebbanBurg: The ‘wolf’

USA, Louisiana.. a small town in north-east Louisiana.. if you see a little-bitty tiny dot with the name 'Oak Grove' beside it.. in the most north-east corner of Louisiana.. fifteen minute drive north.. and you' ve crossed into the state of Arkansas.. Or if you would have drove fifteen minutes east instead of north.. you would have crossed over the Mississippi-Louisiana state line.. so that gives you a pretty good general location of the town of my birth.. Unfortunately it wouldn't be the town of my untimely and unexpected death.. nope.. for I would not die in a town.. no.. I would be eventually crushed.. by a section.. of thirty-two inch.. steel.. heavy-wall.. industrial pipe.. for a natural gas line.. being lay'n.. from just north of the cities.. Odessa and Midland.. of the state of Texas.. Over a thousand miles away from my place of birth.. Bastrop.. Louisiana.. where the closest 'safe' hospital was for me to be born at.. forty miles west.. by north-west from where my family had lived for generations.. Oak Grove.. My family has worked as surveyors.. for pipelines and gas or oil facilities.. being built all across this great country on the continent of North America.. for atleast two generations.. If my children take up the mantle.. that would make.. three generations of my family.. to feed and provide for their families.. working as pipeline surveyors.. see Oak Grove is poor.. poor as dirt.. total population.. barely over two thousand.. average gross income per capita per family for a year.. less than ten thousand dollars a year.. there's just no real paying jobs.. in Oak Grove or anywhere near it.. so while the people who choose to work in Oak Grove make ten thousand dollars a year.. I started out as a 'rod-man' which was the lowest man on the 'totem-pole'.. making what those in Oak grove..worked a year for.. I made in a month.. I did nothing but pack bundles of wooden stakes.. then carry them up the mountains of West Virginia.. Or across the deserts of West Texas.. swamps of south Louisiana.. down around Baton Rouge.. or Tibbedaux.. the Everglades of Florida.. fuck I get that nauseous feeling every time I think of when I 'work'd' there.. I walked up on a dead body without a head.. not long after that.. still on the same project I saw the 'headless' corpse on.. I almost stepped on the biggest python I've ever seen.. the fucker was atleast ten feet long and two to three feet wide around.. Anywho, back to what I was talking back before I went off subject for a bit.. I started out making ten thousand dollars every month.. thats twelve times what I would have earned working a month in Oak Grove.. instead of working in these dangerous jobs.. Been a lot of dangerous places.. dangerous terrains.. working in a very hazardous career.. but I was well paid like I said.. and now I don't have a body left to send home to my parents.. that section of pipe.. weigh tens of thousands of pounds.. when the 'Komoda' excavators that were lifting the section tipped.. that was it.. one of the operators didn't extend his 'boom' on his excavator all the way out like he should have.. Now the pipes falling.. as soon as it lands on me.. thats it.. so much weight.. my head will pop and shoot right of my shoulders.. up in the air towards the heavens themselves.. reaches its peak height of its short flight.. then falling.. all whilst my body will be crushed and explode to nothing but splatter'd meat paste.. ending my first life.. trust I've seen it.. I know what will happen from experience.. and so beings the next chapter of life.. I see a tunnel with bright light radiating from then end of it.. as I reach the light I take the final step.. the blinding light recedes and fades away out of existence.. I find my surroundings returning to a lightness that my eyes can afford to see clearly in.. only to meet another pair of eyes facing me.. everything else is shrouded by darkness.. I see only eyes.. staring at me.. staring into me.. starin
