The Rune Master

Chaotic Origin Runes are the core of the universes period. Once it is used once, those that have used them is destined to die no matter what and along with those who have knowledge of them. That's how many civilizations before us died suddenly at their peak because of their pursuit of such dangerous knowledge as well as publishing such information to the common people. I, a reincarnator into this world, have found out this shocking truth through my studies for greater power.

I have transmigrated into this world I couldn't use the systems of power available in this universe except Runes which is highly underrated source of power here because they are all one time use and needs a long time to set up. When I became a proficient master in Runes I was "invited" by the world government to study in a top secret project and that was when I was first introduced to the Chaotic Origin Runes.

During my studies I managed to luckily figure out the truth of it all and I know I would die soon, only a matter of time so I did what I could to save myself. I decided to take my chances and reincarnate again but this time I wanted power. I had created an 11 Rune Arrays Formations composed of 11 runes each and engrave them to my soul.

All that's left is to figure out how to activate the rune array.

As I was heading to my lab I was called to visit the supervisor room so I went there. As soon as I entered I felt a pain in the back of my head and blacked out.

When I woke up I noticed was strapped into an alter.

"What did you figure out that you aren't sharing with us?" asked a voice.

"What are you talking about?" I asked

"What did you figure out that you aren't sharing with us about the research?" asked a voice asked again. I knew then why I was caught. I know there is no use hiding it any longer.

"What gave me away?" I asked. There was silence on the other end for a minute.

"It was the fact you used the soul engraver and kept inquiries on how to activate the Chaotic Origin Runes. I am asking one last time What did you figure out that you aren't sharing with us about the research?" The voice asked again. I kept silent.

"Than let's see if you were right or not in whatever discovery you made. Active the altar!" The voice said and the altar activated. I can feel the rune array being fully integrated into my soul. After 5 minutes it was done integrating and started powering up.

Since I didn't just out right die as everyone was thinking I had succeeded in making a proper Chaotic Origin Runes Array. They began to dwell into my notes. After one month I felt the runes all charged up but not activated. That's when I finally realized my death is the key for the activation and I am currently only alive because of the active altar.

"Stop, stop the activation sequence!!!" A researcher came into the altar room. Then he sobs to me "Please, Please don't activate the Runes. If you're right you will be killing more than half the world so please don't. I want to live "

I felt the altar power down and my life fleeing as well.
