The Anomaly

Death, it was one of the greatest and most powerful of the concepts. It was a boring existence though, it has seen everything the omniverse has to offer and nothing is interesting anymore to it. The lives of great leaders to the greatest of villains, different Gods, and Immortals, it had seen them all. It had thought that its existence would be the same for trillions of years.

That was until a certain two beings showed into his domain. At first, he ignored them as he did all the others, it was not abnormal for mortals to join his domain, after all, trillions died every second in the omniverse. That was until it had felt a strange feeling from the two souls, something it had never felt in its existence. Intrigued, Death took a closer look at the two souls and to its surprise, the two souls were merging into one. One was a dark shadow and had thousands of subservient souls inside it while the other, was the brightest of white it had ever seen.

Death looked into the souls and saw both of their lives, from start to finish. It seemed that the dark one was a necromancer in his life and was the most powerful in his reality while the other, the other intrigued it as it has not seen a soul who has lived through so many lives. Sometimes, the desire to live was so great that the soul would be able to resist the pull to its domain and live again however, never has it seen one who had lived through so many lives.

The two souls were merging and it seemed as if they were fighting, for dominance. The white soul overpowered the dark soul and the merging finished with the dark soul being absorbed into the white one. The subservient souls had become subservient to the white one and it had shined even brighter than before. Death was surprised, for the first time since its creation, it was surprised.

It was such a strange feeling, however, he enjoyed it. As a conceptual being, he had the ability of foresight and was able to see every possible future and using it, using it he noticed that anything including this new soul would be clouded. Intriguing, maybe another one of the concepts blessed them? This was after all the first thing it had been unable to foresee, the only one to be able to stop his foresight was conceptual beings of the same scale such as Creation.

Before it could continue thinking the newly created soul had begun to crack, Death had seen this happen before, this was after all the process of a soul resisting the pull to its domain and reincarnating. However, never has one been able to reincarnate once entering its domain.

Death, for the first time in its existence, was intrigued, it wanted to see what the soul would do. Its decision made, he sent the soul to a different reality, a new reality, and waited to watch its life from now. It was something new after all, and it had never expected to see anything new for the rest of its existence.

The soul was sucked into a portal into a new dimension that Death had created. Death watched the soul leave off with excitement and began to watch, to see how this new soul would go in its life.

.....

He was just a simple farmer inside the Kingdom of the North, he was not expecting to find a man in his field, lying down unconscious.

At first, he was angry, this was his field and this man was sleeping on his crops. It was almost winter! He can't afford to lose crops so walking over to the man and attempting to wake him up, he got a close look at him and quickly became pale.

The man was definitely a noble! His clothes were extremely well made and seemed to be made of some sort of expensive fabric. What if he was some lord's son? Wouldn't he and his family be punished miserably if he is hurt or worse dead?

Checking to see if he was breathing he was relieved to find out he was alive. He checks the face of the man in front of him more carefully. He had midnight black hair and white clear skin, he was also clean-shaven. After taking a closer look he was confused, the man looked foreign, his features certainly weren't of the north. Before he could speak more the man's eyes shot open.

Looking into the man's eyes was unsettling, to say the least. His bright blue eyes shining with power he had never before seen. It was as if he was in the presence of one of the old gods. The man's eyes widened before he groaned and once again passed out.

The farmer after some deliberation decided to bring the man into his home, maybe when he awakens he would be given a reward after all.

(Upload schedule is around 3 times a week maybe 2. Got some big tests coming up and can't afford to do badly on them. Also, most chapters will be longer than this one, this one is rather short as I only wanted to write a prologue.)
