The Monarchy of Waybrook, a kingdom of Rolyat, was my home, my fortress, and I was willing to do anything to protect it and ensure a good life for my subjects, my only impediment to realizing my dreams was my own father, the King. My father was a perfect despot, and after many years in hold and many mistakes the council was unsatisfied, the population in revolt and a possible uprising was more than right, and I knew that if I wanted to change that I had to take the throne as eldest, but how could I do that without a husband as the archaic law of our country dictated? I don't know, and I'm with tied hands. But if marrying a complete stranger was the price of my people's freedom from my own father's clutches, would I be willing to pay it? Even if it cost me my freedom and having to live away from the one I really love? That's what I had to find out. |MATURE CONTENT SINCE CHAPTER 40|
When I was just a girl I didn't see anything around me, it all boiled down to expensive dresses and tiaras, but with time I got out of the bubble I lived in and could see the world around me better and your failures.
I came to see my subjects and their needs and started pulling my strings to help them as well as my mother and grandparents, but my father saw them as mere insignificant creatures who were alienated by him and would probably die like that if I didn't do something to help them.
But sometimes, being a little new in this matter of seeing what's right under my nose I didn't realize that everything my father did and said had a much greater purpose behind it and that whoever tried to warn me probably didn't survive.
My life was a complete lie that I swore I could fight back, and I was completely thunderstruck at my father and what he could do. And if I'm here today, it's because I loved my country and those who were by my side, even those I lost and those I fought to the end to help, my most sincere love to all of you.
Sincerely,
Princess Eveline Taylor
