Chapters 37 to 39

The Ionians arrive at Bilgewater and find an Inn in Rat Town to sleep in during their stay in Bilgewater. They settle in the same Inn that Ahri and Yasuo stayed during the events of the Ruined King.

They then go to eat at a tavern. Xayah gets drunk and gets harassed by a pirate. She acts aggressively towards them. Sett intervenes, only to get insulted and a fight ensues, in which Lanius, Kayn, Rakan and a drunk Xayah assist him.

The tavern owner stops the fight and kicks them out. The next day is considered empty till the afternoon and everyone decides to do something.

Chapter 40

The crew visits Illaoi at the Bhuru temple, where Lanius is tested by Nagakabouros. She finds him worthy and decides to help him. The crew returns to Rat Town, where they are challenged to a brawl by the pirates from the day before.

Chapters 41 to 42

The fight ensues and Xayah chases a pirate that tried to bring backup, not knowing that it's a trap and falls into it. Sett comes to assist her and beats up the other pirates in exactly ten seconds, then carries Xayah back to the others.

In the mean time in the Shadow Isles, Thresh chases The Rookie through the halls of a temple. The Rookie escapes and Thresh goes back to Noxus to harvest more souls.

Chapters 43 to 47

The crew makes it to the Shadow Isles, where Hecarim ambushes them. The Rookie and another Sentinel come and save them. A verbal fight between Lanius and Xayah ensues, with the second not trusting them. Ahri discovers that they are close to the Vesani vault and they decide to spend the night there. In thete, Ahri and Lanius discover, after the vesani teaches the Winter how to use vastayan magic, a moment and a logbook that belonged to a vesani Light Sentinel named Mesfin.

In Mesfin's logbook, they find about another vesani named Viom, and about Mesfin's search of the vesani from the start till his death. Ahri also learns that Mesfin and Viom are possibly her parents.

Chapters 48 to 52

The crew travels to Helia and is ambushed yet again by Hecarim. Xayah Lanius and Sett buy time and then enter the temple where the Ruined King was born, constantly getting chased by wraiths. Lanius touches the Blade of the Ruined King and gets transported to Camarov, where he meets Viego. After a long discussion, the Ruined King lets go of Isolde and decides to do one thing, Get Revenge. He temporarily possesses Lanius and makes it to the Shadow Isles, where he attacks the crew and possesses Ahri.

Lanius swears to bring her back and travels with everyone except the Sentinels to the capital, where he fights with a possessed Ahri and saves her. Viego flees.

The next day Ahri decides that she wants to be with him. Lanius and her spend the day in bed.

The crew sales for Mount Targon a week later, having gotten intel of the first puece of the rune's location by Viego.
