A Strike of Resemblance

I woke up as the dazzling rays of the sun across the sky shone brightly on my face. I could see the whole place had been well arranged and taken care of, all thanks to my ability to see through the walls.

I noticed the dinning had been set and cleaned up.

I never saw or heard any maid move around,

"was this Ustra's work?," I thought to myself

I couldn't recall much of her conversations, but something was off.

"The pearl of Ottsa" Ustra said last night was all I could recall, nothing else.

I sat up abtruptly, something happened last night. Something beyond ordinary and how I got into the room without myself knowing all that happened startled me.

I layer back in bed as I swayed my hands and legs, I paused and pressed my head hard to be sure I wasn't forgetting something.

"Aww, I really must have forgotten something really," I muttered to myself.

The soft and succulent texture of the bed I laid I must have robbed me off my memories I guess.

I jerked up again as I sat up, I recalled slowly how I heard some people muttering words from the distance.

I blinked severally unclear certainty, i knew I heard that. But that was how far I could recall.

"Hey Tanya!"

It was Ustra.

I moved closer to the edge of the bed.

"All of these makes me remember my fathy, goodmorning Ustra."

"Aww! Sorry, goodmorning hope you..."

"What happened last night?" I asked interrupting her.

"Nothing, I think you slept off somewhat. I mentioned the pearl of Ottsa and you slept off. Do you recall?" She asked.

"Oh, yes, I think so..." I nodded in agreement,

But I felt something was odd.

"I'm sorry Ustra, I should have woken up earlier. I ought to have fixed the whole mess up."

I jumped down and motioned to the bed side.

I adjusted the pillows quickly as I relay the sheets.

"Every other compartment has been taken care of Tanya. I told the house keepers to let this particular room be, I never wanted them to disturb you." She said.

"Urgh, thank you so much."

I felt completely nostalgic at what she said. I'd never in my whole life thought someone somewhere except for my father would dare be in look out for me.

"You're not welcome Miss!" She winced.

"I'd be leaving for the walls today, would you like come?" Ustra asked.

"The walls?"

"Yes, you know?" She guestured.

I watched as her fair skin glowed through the shimmering sun rays adjacent her blue and white stained pink rose hemed metallic loosed robe dazzled with so much converging rays.

Although the hood attached to the robe rested well behind her, I could see the sparrow prints emerging from her spine.

I felt the hesitation in her voice.

I think she felt slightly emberassed talking to me about my very own people she locked up.

"Yes, I should go with you. I don't know what my stepmother's reaction would be, I think I'm scared."

"She can't lay a finger on you" Ustra affirmed.

I remembered asking Ustra why she captured our park the previous night, but I think she ignored or did I sleep off? I thought.

She sat quietly on the armed cain chair so

I decided to give it another try.

"Ustra?"

"Huh?"

"Do you think my stepmother has the pearl in her custody?"

"Huh... Yes?" She replied.

"How would you know?"

"Oh well, my seerrrr..." She hesitated again.

"Your seer?" I asked.

"No, no, that's, it's... It's just so, you know? It's complicated" she motioned foward a bit.

"Tanya, have you ever seen any strange, I mean probably dazzling pearl on Brianna or your father , before he died?

Do you know anything about this pearl? at all, or where I could find it?

I think most of your people never knew what that pearl entails." She shook my hands constantly.

I became completely confused, I never wanted to hide anything from Ustra.

For a minute or two, I relived Grandpa Ralph warning me to guard the pearl with my life.

I felt really heartbroken.

"No, no" I said stuttering.

"I really don't know Ustra."

I turned my face towards the windows direction.

"My stepmother Brianna, never gave me a free access to the relics from my father, Beta Ezra's belongings.

I can't even tell apart which is his or hers. My step sisters are more or less my worst nightmares.

I really can't tell but I do know that my stepmother had no idea either.

Why is this pearl so important to you?"

Ustra strained a bit and sighed heavily,

"It is... So important to me in so many ways Tanya, I really shouldn't be discussing this with anyone cause it's mainly confidential.

"Only those of the Royal household knows about the pearl.

But I trust you Tanya, I know you have the ability to comprehend.

you're completely different and something really gives me a feeling. You're well mannered and I do like you, I would."

"First of all, I need to find the pearl in order to find my father. I have a strong feeling he's still alive and I know the King has alot to do with this." She added.

"The pearl was believd to possess great powers, power enough to give immortality,"

My eyes grew wider as my jaw dropped. I could feel my ears tingling at the sound of "immortality.".

"Even the seven kingdoms, right from Mathiur to Pishan had not ceased to wage war against against each other and with other kingdoms, in order to find the pearl of Ottsa.

Whoever finds the pearl would wield immortality and would become one of the greatest ruler of . ..".

Someone interrupted Ustra.

I could hear his coarse voice echoe from the passage way.

"My lord, your servant Nyvnne has readied the horses, we set out now."

Ustra dropped her head as though she bowed, I think she was exhausted or something.
