Chapter 40: What is freedom?

The morning sun had not long risen, and many had yet to awaken from their night's rest. In the room across from Li Hung, was the awakened Madam Arya, and as Agnellus hurried from Li Hung's room, he had the misfortune of coming face to face with her.

Sightly flustered he momentarily forgot his manners, "Madam Arya you have awoken" he spoke without the correct courteousness. 

The small mismark appeared to have greatly offended Madam Arya, whose expression immediately became cold. 

"You think because you have gained our alphas favour, you can look down on me" she spat sharply.

The statement made no logical sense to Agnellus, during their days of travelling, he had been treated quite oddly by the Madam. During times when the prince was at his side, she was friendly and treated him with great respect, but during times such as this when the two were alone, she would become cold and indifferent.
