Palidion

Kat walked the path toward the plains town, Palidion as she got closer the amount of people she saw was slowly increasing as this was a central hub for low levels or even newbies to Arula. she spotted multiple cat and dog beastkin with bonded partners walking along in high spirits as they seemed to have just bonded Recently. She then spotted a whole group of humans walking with a fewer amount of monster girls with them, there clothes were all tattered up and some even had undisclosed fluids on which created blushes from those girls as others would glance at them.

'It's quite rare for a group of people to go on a hunt together in these parts considering most are to shy to try to tame Arulians around other humans as newbies' Kalia said

"They must have mentors with them" Kat said looking at the front of the group with two older looking women leading them, one with a pair of cat ears and tail and the other with a reptile looking tail. They both had short swords on their hips and were the cleanest of their group.

'The leaders of that group are on the high end of the leveling range for Palidion then they should be moving on to higher areas soon' Kalia resounded in Kat's head

Kat nodded and continued walking towards Palidion with a steady pace in anticipation for the dungeon ahead.

As Kat approached the town she notice a wall surrounding the town with ramparts and behind them ballista's. There were soldiers walking along the walls donned in what looked like silver medieval armor, some armed with bows and others with swords sheathed on their waist.

'Why is there a wall around the town with armed soldiers, Isn't Arula's open land relatively safe?' Kat questioned Kalia telepathically.

'Not Necessarily, Palidion is relatively safe as its a low level area where the dungeon gets cleared almost daily and portals don't appear regularly but, because it doesn't happen often doesn't mean it never happens so every town has to be prepared.' Kalia Explained

'What do you mean when you say portals?' Kat asked 

'Monsters get transported out of nearby dungeons when they don't get cleared and roam the land attacking anything and everything in its path, It's really a bother to be honest' Kalia said.

'That just sounds wonderful' Kat said agreeing with Kalia

As they approached the wall they came up on the gate and joined the line people entering, Kat noticed there where two women inspecting everyone entering the the town after Kat made it to the front of the line one of the women began questioning her

"Can I see your Hunting or Merchants license please?" The cat like woman in front of her questioned. 

"Sorry... I don't have one" Kat said 

"Oh I should have known you were new here with your earthly clothing, I welcome you to Arula. Have you been fortunate enough to partner with one of us yet? or have you come here without a wild encounter." The woman asked as she subtly eyed Kat's figure 

Kat blushed at her questioning as she wasn't completely used to the openness of how Arulians treated sex "ye-yes I have she's currently in my core" Kat stuttered slightly embarrassed at the question

"fufu you must be quite talented then if someone bonded with a greenhorn like you I'm almost kind of jealous I couldn't get a piece of you first" The woman said not hiding the fact that her gazing was wondering over Kat's wide hips. 

"So how do I get an Hunters license?" Kat questioned changing the subject as she was now violently blushing 

"Oh of course sorry for getting of track. head to the Hunters guild in town and they will allow you to sign up for free " 

"Okay thank you miss" Kat said as she walked through the gate 

'why didn't you say anything when she was obviously ogling me' Kat questioned Kalia in her head 

'Why would I, I'm always ogling you and besides if I think I'm the only one your ever going to sleep with I am very wrong.' Kalia said 

'Noted' Kat said

After their conversation ended Kat refocused on what she was seeing around her as she walked down the main street of Palidion, There were street vendors selling different dishes from kabobs to different soups. There were people of all shapes and sizes from harpies, Lizardwomen, and goblins just to name a few. People were also selling jewelry and trinkets as well as armor and weapons 

'I think we found the building' Kat said looking at the large rustic building with a large sign that read "Hunters Guild" with a sword piercing a large pink pink heart behind the text. The building itself was constructed of very sturdy and aged stone that looked to have been there forever, Large wooden beams which then curved tp form the sloped roof. The entrance was a massive wooden door leading to the hall of the guild. 

Entering the guild Kat immediately felt as if she just entered a pub as hunters were scattered around the hall with mugs of booze and all different sorts of characters littered among the crowd, some boastful some quiet and full of mystery just looking for the next mission. 

Kat approached the front desk noticing the the receptionist was another cat eared woman sporting long orange hair and a tail of the same color with a white spot at the end.

"Excuse me I'd like to get a hunter's license" Kat said 

"Of course miss, the names Maddie I'd love to assist you. Are you new? would you like a rundown before getting a license" the cheery girl named Maddie said

"Yes that would be perfect" Kat nodded at her

 "Wonderful, first of all there's there's Two main types of hunters. The first type is a Dungeon hunter which their main goal is to go on dungeon hunts and are typically a very serious hunter on the other hand you have the Pleasure hunters they make it their mission to sleep around with everyone they fancy and learn as much as they can about the many different people that call home on Arula" Maddie explained

"How would human get bonds if they aren't a pleasure hunter, don't bonds get made through pleasure?" Kat asked before Maddie continued

"That's a big misconception all newbies make, Not everyone is all about sex and pleasure. Lots of Arulians form bonds solely based on power and strength and create parties that don't all bond together to fill gaps within the party." Maddie explained 

"What if you don't want to be one or the other?" Kat asked confusedly 

"That's where the third and final Hunter license comes in the hybrid hunter. They Are hunters who like to dungeon hunt while also pleasure hunt as well and usually travel in parties who know each other very well if you know what I mean. So which license seems best suited for you miss?" Maddie asked after finishing her explanation. 

"Hybrid Hunter" Kat said without missing a beat

"I'm glad you know what you want miss I'm just going to need a little information from you then you'll receive your very first hunter's license"

Kat then gave the woman her information which was just the basic such as her name, age, where she was from

"Just one moment miss Kat ill be back in just a moment with your license" Maddie said as she walked into a back room behind the desk" 

'I'm glad you went with the Hybrid Hunter I wouldn't've had it any other way. I can't wait for you to find some more women for yourself master' Kalia said with a smug tone 

'Well it was always a dream of mine to have a harem of beautiful monster girls but I do want to follow in my moms footsteps as a dungeon hunter.' Kat said 

"Here's your card miss you will start out a rank F as you have just started out, you will be able to raise you rank by doing jobs on the job board or doing dungeon hunts." Maddie interrupted their conversation 

"Thanks Maddie" Kat replied and took the card from her

Finally time to hit the dungeon...
