Restless Night

Tonight promises to be a restless night.

In the forbidden area on the third floor, Malfoy and Harry, who had just arrived, were caught by the patrolling Professor McGonagall before they could exchange a word.

The unfortunate duo received a punishment notice from Professor McGonagall, and a week later, they were to assist Hagrid with tasks in the Forbidden Forest.

Luke remains unaware of these events.

Upon his return that night, Malfoy wore no hint of sorrow on his face, only a sly smile.

Harry suddenly noticed that, apart from Ron's somewhat ambiguous gaze, the young couple Luke and Hermione were thoroughly delighted!

"The two of us aren't gloating..." Luke defended himself and his girlfriend, "So, are you really going to fool Malfoy like this for a week?"

These words caught Ron's attention.

"I fully agree, lets teach him a good lesson!"

Hermione and Luke both stared at Ron.

Luke to observe Hermione, who was munching away, her cheeks puffed out like an adorable hamster.

"Just to be safe, let's go with Harry and the others!" Ron wanted to pull Luke into the water with Hermione.

"I'll go when Luke goes!" Hermione replied lightly. It wasn't the first time she had sneaked out with Luke for a nighttime adventure.

"Forbidden Forest..." Luke thought for a moment, then nodded and agreed, "Then let's go together. I've been wanting to go inside and take a look."

He had a plan to catch an eight-eyed spider and extract some venom. He had seen it in Borgin's shop, and a small bottle of venom could be sold for twenty gold Galleons. Additionally, Hagrid's little fire dragon was about to hatch.

"Look, it's hatching!" Ron exclaimed.

"Come on little fella!" Harry squeezed in, too, his eyes fixed on the eggshell with cracks.

Hermione and Luke sat opposite the table, also gazing at the fire dragon egg ready to crack with curious eyes.

Creak-

With a crisp sound, Hagrid's heart raced, fearing something unexpected.

Soon, the eggshell was pushed open, and a small bat-like fire dragon emerged!

"It's a Norwegian Ridgeback!" Hermione's brown eyes lit up as she mentioned the Fire Dragon's scientific name. Knowledgeable girls are naturally the most attractive. Even Hagrid praised; not many young witches nowadays are interested in learning about magical creatures.

Hagrid reached out to pick up the newborn, but the little fire dragon coughed, and a small flame burst out of its mouth instantly.

"My beard!" Hagrid exclaimed, slapping the flames out of his beard.

"It's too dangerous, isn't it?" Ron remarked.

A newly born fire dragon already had such power, and it would undoubtedly be more formidable as it grew older.

"This dragon is absolutely not allowed at Hogwarts; you have to understand that, Hagrid," Luke reminded while looking at Hagrid's joyous expression.

"I promise it won't hurt..." Hagrid muttered softly.

"No one can guarantee that, can they?" Even Ron couldn't agree with Hagrid's idea.

"Then throw it into the Forbidden Forest and let it grow there!" Harry suggested, not wanting to see Hagrid sad.

"A childish idea. Within a month of throwing a fire dragon into the Forbidden Forest, the entire forest will likely be devoid of many creatures," Hermione retorted.

However, speaking of the Forbidden Forest, Harry and the others suddenly remembered that they had to go to the forbidden area to help Hagrid handle things.

"A unicorn died recently. Come in with me to investigate," urged Hagrid.

As they discussed the Forbidden Forest, Hagrid provided them with instructions on what to do.

"The dragon will be discovered by Dumbledore sooner or later," Hermione remarked to Luke after leaving Hagrid's hut.

"Don't worry. Instead of raising a fire dragon here, it's better to send it to where it should go," Luke reassured her.

Keeping a dragon at Hogwarts was a fantastical notion. The moment news spread, Hogwarts would be inundated with parental letters objecting to having a brutal Norwegian Ridgeback at their children's school.

The week progressed, leading to the impending night when Harry and Malfoy were to be punished in the Forbidden Forest.

Hagrid's little dragon, Norbert, was eventually discovered by Dumbledore during his visit. Dumbledore located Charlie, Ron's brother, and entrusted him with taking Norbert to Romania.

Hagrid grappled with this decision for days.

As night fell, Filch ushered Harry and Malfoy to Hagrid's hut for their punishment.

"Come on, you two little wizards, having a private meeting at night!" Filch exclaimed as he walked toward Hagrid's hut with Harry and Malfoy in tow.

"Hmph, if it were before, the two of you would have been hanging upside down on the city wall for a whole night!" Filch sneered.

"But not now, Mr. Filch!" Malfoy retorted with surprising politeness.

Harry followed behind his expression complex. The sight of Malfoy in this situation made him feel nauseous.
