Life In Gimhae-Si

Tae Kyung and Hye Rin carried the woman they had rescued out of the ruined house. The chilly air still surrounded them, but they felt relieved that they had helped someone in the midst of this harsh world.

However, as they exited the house, they were suddenly confronted by a group of individuals who appeared out of nowhere. The four people were Hwang Ji Hoon, Han So Yeon, Shin Hye Jung, and Kwak Dong Su. They stood in the middle of the road, blocking Tae Kyung and Hye Rin's path.

Hwang Ji Hoon, who seemed to be the leader of the group, firmly stated, "Hand over the woman to us."

Tae Kyung gripped his sword confidently, his eyes shining with determination. "Who are you? And why do you want this woman?"

Hwang Ji Hoon gave a smile that was hard to decipher.

"We don't have time to explain everything. This is for our mutual safety. Hand her over, and perhaps we can assist you."

Tae Kyung wasn't quick to trust. "We won't just give her up. You must provide a reasonable explanation."

However, Kwak Dong Su, who appeared less patient, moved swiftly. He approached the woman saved by Tae Kyung and Hye Rin, then pushed her roughly away.

"Enough," said Kwak Dong Su, "She's not human. She's an evolved zombie. We're part of a group trying to survive in this world, and she's a threat to all of us."

The woman, now resembling a zombie with pale skin and empty eyes, reached for Tae Kyung quickly. Tae Kyung dodged her grasp and raised his sword. He looked at Hwang Ji Hoon and the others, his eyes filled with questions.

Hwang Ji Hoon explained, "We don't want to kill her, but we have to keep her from endangering us. We have a safe place where we can care for her and learn more about these changes."

Hye Rin spoke up, "How do we know we can trust you? What proof do you have that you're genuinely trying to protect people?"

Han So Yeon, one of the group members, replied, "We can take you to our place. We have resources and protection. We want to work together to survive in this world."

Tae Kyung pondered for a moment. He wanted to protect his sister and the woman, but he also knew that the outside world was full of dangers. Perhaps working with this group was the best choice.

After ensuring their guns were at the ready, Tae Kyung nodded. "We'll follow you, but if anyone does anything suspicious, we won't hesitate to take action."

Hwang Ji Hoon's group agreed, and with that, Tae Kyung, Hye Rin, and the evolved zombie joined this mysterious group. They continued their journey toward a safe place, contemplating the deeper mysteries of the drastically changed world.

Tae Kyung and Hye Rin followed Hwang Ji Hoon and his group as they entered the city of Gimhae-Si. Their journey continued through the eerie, snow-covered city, devoid of any signs of human life. The silence was broken only by the sound of their footsteps on the frozen snow.

Tae Kyung couldn't contain his questions any longer. Along their journey, he approached Hwang Ji Hoon and asked, "Why do you call them 'evolved zombies'? What really happened here?"

Hwang Ji Hoon walked while responding, "Before this incident, about three years ago, we started with only hearing reports of wild animals behaving strangely. They were attacking humans and other animals. At first, we thought it might be a contagious virus from animals to humans. But after some research, we realized it was something far more mysterious."

Tae Kyung and Hye Rin listened attentively, eager to know what had transpired in the world outside their bunker.

Ji Hoon continued, "We found out that these monsters originated from animals that were already dead. These animals seemed to come back to life, but not in a normal way. They became stronger, more ruthless, and transformed into something inhuman."

Hye Rin was taken aback as she asked, "So, they're not humans who have turned into zombies?"

Hwang Ji Hoon nodded, "No, they're different. They're the result of a mysterious evolution. No one really knows how it happened. We've been trying to understand this phenomenon and protect ourselves from their threats. That's why we had to bring the woman with us. We believe she's the key to understanding all of this."

Tae Kyung furrowed his brow, attempting to process all this information. The once beautiful and lively world had now turned into a place full of mystery and danger.
