The Knightfall : A Batman Villian

"My name is David Castillo. I was born in a family of monsters. My parents were not so great. There are two types of people in this world. Good and Evil. I liked to think that i was neither of those. My Father and mother fought with each other every single day. The cause of their daily quarel was always a mystery to me. In their fight i was the one facing the consequences. They would beat me for their satisfaction. They would say to me that i was worst or good for nothing etc. After a long time i started cursing myself for being born. Sometimes they would fight over their private matters. But sometimes they would even fight over little matters. Not even for a single moment they looked like adults. Money creates many differences. Yes we were not as you would like to say financialy stable. It wasn't that we were poor it was like they were spending their money on unecessary things. My father was a drunkard. And my mother was always high on drugs. What a family you would say. There is not so much i like to add in my story. Because i wasn't any special. I was a boy who understood at an early age that the world was not a beautiful or a funny place to live. Its a lie. Everything is a lie to distract people from unlocking thier greatest potential. Like the fantasy shows which are aired on tv or the movies. Everyone no matter how hopeless or how depressed by their personal matters has its own dreams. The dreams which give meaning to their life. It changes their life. It becomes a life worth living for. Here i am with no dreams. With no hope of seeing a beautiful future. Like the endings of movies they show at the end. But,there was someone that i admired the most. Yes,that was you. Batman "

Bruce wayne reads three to four pages of a diary written by someone who claimed to be his rival. After reading it, he drinks his tea. Alfred asks him if he is tired he should go to bed. He says no to Alfred. Alfred says sir you were injured an hour ago. He again says that he needs some time alone. After Alfred leaves,he opens a news channel on a tv in its Batcave. The newsreporter tells about the death of a criminal named Nightfall. A criminal that a havoc in Gotham five years ago and disturbed the nights of Gotham city is officialy dead. Nightwing enters after patrolling the other half of the city. Bruce turns off tv. Bruce welcomes him. Nightwing says there wasn't anything unusual in the city. But i heard a criminal that you were investigating about died. What happened ?,he asked. Bruce says,Nothing you should know. Nightwing says okay big guy no need to be angry. Bruce tells him i am not angry. Nightwing says i know. Then they two leave the batcave.

Five years ago,David,an eighteen year old kid,after being beaten by his mother leaves his house. As always he is very angry and his mind is filled with hatred. After walking for some time he feels hungry. Later,he asked his mother for money to buy food for himself but got beaten by her. Cursing at him while he leaves. He snatches a wallet and runs very far. The person that wallet belongs to runs after David but after running for a long time he gives up. Seeing that the person finally gave up. He cheers up. He looks into the wallet and finds some money. He then goes to a convenience store. While he is buying some food he sees that a tv in the store is telling about the heroic acts of the Batman. It shows people appreciating his help and showing their love for him on tv with their words. He understands that they love him for the justice he provides to the city. He starts to think that the people don't understand that he will die some day by some goon or by a disease.He is a human afterall. Either way death is inevitable. From that moment onward he will become my dream so i can keep living on. I will be his sidekick or partner.

Any case i wonder who is the real person like behind that mask and that suit. Is he enjoying his work?. Or is he doing that just to beat some criminals. Maybe for fun. I don't know. The world is full of mysteries. Some of them we try to understand but can't crack them up. And some of them we don't even know exists in this world. After leaving the store he looks up and sees that its night and he sees a bat sign glowing in the night. David thinks it is a beautiful idea indeed. He sees a shadow of someone on the roof. He tries to follow that shadow but losts it. When he tries to go back he sees the hero vigilante Batman. He tells David that its not safe you should return to your home. Criminals are roaming in Gotham. David says that he does not have a home anymore. Batman tells him then you should go to a safe place and sees a bunch of gangsters approaching their way. Batman leaves. But David does not want to leave. He wants to know the answer to his question. What kind of a person he becomes when he fights evil. He steps back and sees it from a distance. He sees him fighting the gangsters. In his fight he notices a certain kind of expression that of hate and anger on his face. He questions himself that is it because of the criminals. Is it what people expects him to do. Or a personal grudge on them. What kind of thinking or motivation keeps him going. Fighting criminals everyday. Beating them. Get beaten. What is he ?. I still don't know. What keeps him moving forward on the path of justice.

"What will happen to his life after knowing the person behind a mask who is just like him inside when he was young."
