I couldn't sleep, I kept dreaming of that night. After the shit that went down at the church, everyone was on edge. More men were walking around the house with rifles. Aria and Cara were still in shock, I would expect them to be used to that type of stuff but they keep women and children out of the business. They shielded them from death and blood—when they should do the exact opposite.

After the doctor came in and cleaned up the graze, he provided me with pills for the pain. They were sitting on my desk staring at me, I didn't wanna take them. They would make me drowsy and I didn't want to sleep. I glanced at the six o'clock shadow glaring off the digital clock on the side table next to my bed. I knew everyone was still asleep, everyone expects the maids. I noticed they woke up at this time— they would start on breakfast and cleaning the house.
